Start all over again
« on: December 19, 2015, 01:02:08 PM »
Ok, this porn deal has been such a breaker for me.  I keep going on for a 2-3 day streak, only to fall back into a day of relapse.  I don't feel like I'm making any progress coz it's just a vicious cycle repeating all over again.

I maintained a 4 day streak before I relapsed today.  Will start over again.  Any advice on how to get past this rut?

I shall join a gym coz I've read many users' opinions stating that it has helped them a lot.  I'm also going to try and keep myself busy with language courses for a while as I have vacation for over 2 months right now.

As usual, i'm going for the no porn no fap goal.

Hi Hershey,

I can tell you my experience and the advices I caught from it. Don't take it as the hidden revealed truth, because it might not fit with you!

I think that what you have begun to do is ok, but it can prevent you from PMOing during the day, not when you are on your bed, eventually alone.
I started beign very motivated doing nofap when I deeply undetstood how porn is harmful. So the very first step is getting educated on the topic. Checking Gabe's video and reading the book "your brain on porn" will be fine. You must be disgusted by the idea of PMOing (unluckily, the feeling of disgust lasts less than the urge...!).

After that, get busy as much as possible. Avoid thinking and any trigger you could meet!
Stat away from home, workout and stop your brain to fantasize on porn or having sex!

I hope this could help.
Good luck, bro

Hey Blu88,

thanks, I watched the video and it's great.  I shall read more coz the website really has a lot to offer.

I hope I can keep the streak going.  Been only 2 days so far (technically 7 more minutes for day 2 to finish).

Ok, as usual relapsed....AGAIN  :( :( :( :( :(

I just couldn't sleep and was plagued with thoughts of pornography that I started edging. Anyways I won't take this as a failure.  I shall start over.

I just wonder how many times I'll keep relapsing and if it'll hinder my success altogether.

Relapsed again! Like I said this is happening every 2 days.

Today I believe the trigger was just boredom.  I got too bored and normally I'd use porn to always numb any emotion whatsoever I'm experiencing.

Will start again.  This time going for 7 days.  Hope I can last that long.

Stay strong.
You can do it. I think you should change your mindset and really think on stopping watching P forever and not just a fixed amount of time. Although I understand it's good to have a short-term goal in mind.
