Reboot To Cure my PIED
« on: September 02, 2020, 08:18:07 PM »
Hi,

I am 34, I have PIED, and it is wreaking havoc on my marriage. I cannot get hard enough to fuck my wife. I also cannot get hard when I watch porn. I have tried viagra but that doesn't do the trick. I have looked into TRT but some clinics say I'm too young and have some complicating health factors for it. I have lied to my wife about quitting porn in the past, and I really do not want to be a liar again. She deserve a truthful partner with a hard dick.

It is obviously time for a reboot. I know it is challenging, as I have actually already started! But I am now on this site because I need to get my dick working again, and forever.

For convenience, let's call today day #1 no porn and no fap, even though I have been on this journey for several weeks now.

Goal: hard penis, great sex, happy marriage... rinse and repeat.  I am also looking into different medical solutions so I will keep those notes in this journal too.

Ed

Hi Ed, (thats not a pun I hope!)
Sorry to hear about your soft cock and sexually unsatisfied wife. Every woman deserves a rock hard cock and every guy deserves to shove it up them (consensually of course, and respectfully - dont want to get into porn territory with any of those actions... yikes...)
You mentioned youve been fap free for several weeks? thats great! have you noticed a reduction in other symtoms associated with porn abuse? non-penis related, that is. so your head feels clearer, more motivation to do things, more energy in the mornings etc.
Medical solutions only go so far, if at all. The only way to fix yourself (and your wifes sexually unsatisfied existence) is to do this reboot thing.
Its the only real cure. Guaran- FUCKING-teed. Trust it and youll get your life (and cock!) back.
Un-fuck your life, quit porn now! Today!

Hello ednomore and welcome,

Congratulations to your journal, you are herr with great companions that can help you when help is asked.
You know, quitting PMO isn't easy, so have you taken measures to prevent you of relapsing in the first 14 days?

Thank you fappy and imsorrynotsorry.  Well, I'm thinking, reboot + medical = super rock hard?  I don't know, we'll see.

The last couple weeks have been tough, and when I have urges I have been browsing this site, watching youtube videos about reboot, etc.  Its just now that I realized I don't want to lose steam, so I made an account.

Effects of rebooting so far?  Nothing penis related.  I don't necessarily feel I have a clearer mind at work or home life...  To be honest, I haven't really been paying attention to the non-cock effects, so maybe I'll pay closer attention.

Today was fine. No urges.

it might be worthwhile to examine the other non-cock related symptoms, because there are many. you might be feeling down without knowing why, or not enjoying things like you used to - yep, thatll be the porn.

You choose to cure your PIED. What does that mean to you related to PMO use in general?

I'm with fappy. Maybe there are moods you thought of normal for the last 15 years, because you don't know it better. The theory says, our brains are acting lile the brains of addicts, so i strongly believe that living without an addiction is changing my personality.

When i got my GF my PIED was like on/off there. Sometimes sex wasn't possible, sometimes i only lasted for 5 mins or so. I watched P during that time regularly 1-4 times a month. Only that much so my man would work for the time i needed it. Yes, you can imagine that i had to try and focus real hard to have an O with my GF too. So, i kinda worked in the end, but often i couldn't last until the end. It's now 160 days that i figured, with PMO i will never enjoy intimacy like my GF can and thinking of P during the act is unfair and just sleazy. So i decided that PMO must be out of my life for good. To not suffer from PIED is good, but there must come a greater understanding of it. At least for me it was the case.

No P, and no M, but I'll allow O if its with my wife. :)

It's weird, I am still able to get a bit hard, just not as FULL.  It makes our sex bad in general, but actually yesterday, our sex was great! But I know that is rare, so I need to keep up the no-P and no-M.

Going well.  Still on that No P and No M,  but there have been a couple Os.

The main focus is to ensure a hard cock for fucking my wife.  We've actually had sex twice in the last week, and both times I was able to get hard (although, not as hard as I once was able to).  So, I still have to improve.  I don't even consider being able to fuck twice in a week as a victory (for me), as I want to be able to fuck whenever I want to, with a hard hard cock.

So ya. Do I get urges? Well, I wouldn't call them urges, but more like my brain saying "hey, shouldn't you be jerking off and watching porn right now?"   Meaning, I don't think i even WANT to watch porn and jerk off, its just that over time, I rewired my brain to think that I needed to.

So, I continue to not watch porn and not jerk off, and hopefully my cock will get even harder.

I am also bracing for the time when we want to have sex, but I can't get hard (this has happened many times in the past).  I need to think of a healthy plan to put in place when this happens, as the thought of not getting hard and not satisfying my wife could lead me to watching porn for a quick fix... gotta prevent that!

Sounds like there has started to be a little progress with the PIED!

Over time, I think it will continue to improve, especially as your brain re-learns what is exciting. And because of not being able to get hard for a long time, there's probably a little anxiety that has developed as well, which will also go away.

Hey ednomore,

I've read stories from guys who had hard times recovering from PIED with Oing regularly with the wife. Meaning, because of the constant Oing and therefore some certain pathways being used in the brain, the brain doesn't rewire good enough. I hope it works for you though. It worked for me, having O with the GF 1-4 times a month. I'm much harder now. Just an idea for your healthy plan.

sunamstar - yes some progress! It may seem immediate because I just started the blog here, but it actually took a while.

imsorrynotsorry - good looking out. I do not want to stunt my progress, but I also want to fuck my wife. At the moment it is working, but I will be conscious of this, thank you.

In general, I have been getting hard more often, specifically in non-sexual moments with my wife.  We'll be just lying in bed, barely touching eachother, and I find myself getting hard!  This is what I want. I would rather deal with unwanted boners than soft cock. :)  I just need to be more consistent on this forum, as I find it helps a lot when I have any potential urges.

Got into an argument with my wife today about something non-sexual. This used to be a big trigger for me. Argument -> sadness -> need to feel better -> porn -> masturbate -> orgasm -> don't feel better.

So today, I am ....  argument -> played some pacman -> thought about the argument -> prepared a small chat about the argument if it comes up again -> feel better because I am actually focusing on the problem instead of masking it with P and M and O.

thats good news that you were able to identify that bastard trigger and stop it before it could do damage. removing yourself mentally from that triggering environment, not physically as its probably hard to hide from your wife!!!, but mentally going somewhere else - in your case pacman - is a massive win for you. dont let your wifes silly arguments bring you down to the level of watching porn!

Great thing.
Turning the impulses in something different, like always playing pacman after an argument, will overwrite a neuronal pathway and therefore is good. For me, in the beginning, i came to RN instead of PMO.

Keep going! It’s really great that you were able to redirect your habit pattern to something different like pacman. Sometimes it’s hard but one quote that I liked from a previous forum I was part of is: pain, not porn, is part of every happy life. Addressing the problem initially is hard but that’s what actually helps us eventually.
In recovery since December 2012. Porn-free since December 21, 2020.

Hey all! I haven't posted in a coupe weeks, but I also haven't P or M! So it is going well. I've been very busy, which has been a distraction, which is nice.  But with that said, I will be slowing down next week, so I need to ensure I spend my time wisely (aka not watching porn).

My cock has been harder than it was. Still not 100% to my liking, and if not aroused I will lose the erection quicker than I like. But, progress is progress!

hey, glad I found this post. I am where you started but i'm 36. Got married at 33 and I was definitely still using PMO. I didn't even know PIED was a thing until a couple of months ago. Now my wife wants to finally get pregnant and now I'm taking this more seriously than I've ever taken it! But i believe performance anxiety may be playing a part now. I do know I have to stop P all together. I unfollowed anyone thirst trapping on Instagram, because a lot of women are only on there to show off their body/beauty. How's your road to recovery been going now Ed? It's been about a month since your last post.
