I'm 25 yo single guy, I use porn since I was 14. I tried stopping several times but failed. Despite my age i never ever had a girlfirend, I had sex the first time when I was 22/23 with an escort, and had various sexual experiences with escorts too. I don't have pied but i need a lot of time to reach climax, 25/30 minutes. So I ask, how can I get rid of porn when I don't have even a girlfriend and don't have an active sexual life? I mean, we are surrounded by sex, triggers are everywhere, and when you don't have girls it's very difficult. I tried using safe search on google but without a password or something like that it's really easy to deactivate it and relapse. I'm in deep shit, I'm very frustated and sad beacuse at my age I never had a gf and at the same time I struggle with porn. Porn actually is worsening my relational problems with girls, it made my numb and sad, and it gave me a distorted perception of women and sex. I didn't even kissed a girl but I saw all kind of porn before i was 18. It's like an evasion from reality, but at the same time that evasion is actually worsen my reality, it influence reality very deeply by gaving back a bad perception of sex and women, porn made me hate women. So, I don't know if there is someone with similar experiences of long term celibacy and porn addicition. I would like to know if you can give me some advice. your story is similiar to my story or the story of most of the people here, so, we are with you. Are you with us?

For leaving your addiction behind you don't need girls or a GF. I strongly believe that escort girls are not helping your recovery, because they get money for saying nice things. Your self esteem is weakened and that is a problem. The cause may be somewhere deep in your personality, you can find about that later or during the process of rewiring. Most important thing now and on this website is to make the first steps AWAY from PMO. You can't truly become self confident with PMO when you want to approach a girl. The PMO part must go out, please read the thread of William for that.

I also believe that being 25 yo and not having had a GF is no thing. Yeah, people are saying stuff or sth else, but for you that's irrelevant. You are young and you have good chances of turning your life away from PMO. Like i said, this is the first thing to do and it will not go easy. It helps if you deeply understand that PMO is not a part of your life anymore. And then there will be relapses, this is normal, but it must not bring you away from your goal of a P-free life.

I'm trying leaving this addiction behind,and before i discovered this community I didn't consider it to be an addiction at all, just a pass time. Later I found out that I was incapable of staying without watching porn for more than 7 days.  I made more than that without porn actually but I was masturbating anyway on pics using electronical devices. Despite my heavy use I don't have pied, and after some days of abstinence i can masturbate wihout using porn or even fantasy, but every time I do this i open myself for a relapse so I decided this time to try to go without masturbating at all. I've gone through some delusions in the past and the fact of being 25 and still single makes me feel bad  , but at the same time this pain is helping me leaving my porn addiction behind. Also I don't know if there are ways to block porn sites with a password or something, because without that is like trying stop smoking while going around with a pack of cigarettes in the pocket. I also thought of dumping my smartphone for a dumbphone.

There are such sites, apps or plugins. Look them up. For me that helped, but didn't solved the problem.

The clear decision away from PMO is a strong one that goes through all levels of your personality. The concious and the unconscious. It's something we normally don't do, meaning we are not skilled at it. Start with moving away from it, on the journey the obsticals will come automatically. Face them, ask them where there are from and leave them behind. Going away from P will improve on your life and self confidence.

I use ColdTurkey on my computer and Blocksite on my android phone to block website. Very good combination. I not only block porn sites, I also block every site that I spend or spent too much time on (reddit, twitter, youtube...)

Also: I didn't have a girlfriend before I had a girlfriend. Being single is fine.
I recommend reading "Models" by Mark Manson, it's the best book to learn about seduction.
