PIED-The start to recovery

Hy, i am 27 years old. I started MO since 12 and PMO since i was 14-15.I PMO during this time almost every day and two years ago I found about PIED,watching Gary Wilson youtube video. Since 2017 I kept trying and relapsing but now I wanna change my life, because I cannot live like this anymore. Yesteday I was very confident about this, but than  I read some stories about men who now are 450+ NO PMO and still not recovered, or not been able to have consistent sex, and that depressed me and made me so doubtable about results...last night I could barely sleep thinking about this shit over and over again.What if I will never be able to have consistent sex with a girl, not making a family?!This tought is killing me...if only I knew how distructive PMO can be tu us. I will give it 9 months to see if it works and I will have some improvments in life...if not i'm not sure what i'll do next

The thing about the guys who get to 450+ no PMO is that they end up recovered eventually. I've read plenty of accounts of guys who get to 1 year 6 months and things are kinda still sketchy and then in the last 6 months a ton of progress starts occuring.

Look into 'Post-Acute-Withdrawal' (known as PAWS). It overlays the recovery process very well, the withdrawal symptoms, the non-linearity, the gradual return of baseline, sleep improvements etc. PAWS can take up to two years.

About 3 months ago I was thinking the same, but I could have sex after 2 months since I started the reboot. I think those guys are doing this wrong. They keep MO or some P or don't have contact with some girl.

Did you experienced some ups and downs after these 2 months and after started to have sex again, or you are fully recovered with no problems? Maybe you were not worse as others...

Thanks for your encouraging. This PAWS is new to me. I found just now when you told me. You say that PAWS, overlays the recovery process.This mean that the 2 years duration of PAWS start at the time when I start recovery, or at some point(no one knows) during the recovery?

No one knows, it is different for everyone.

Acute Withdrawal(Week 1 - Week 3): Can include very intense cravings, headaches, flu-like symptoms.

Post actuate Withdraw(1 Month - 24 Months): PAWS is less obvious but still sucks. Up and down as days/weeks go by, sleep gradually improves, cravings come and go but are more manageable, slow progress, sometimes quite weird symptoms.

You could become 'healed' anytime between Month 1 and Month 24. This is the 'reboot' part of recovery.

Another important aspect of porn addiction recovery is the need to 'rewire'. Rewiring means teaching your brain to be attracted to real Women again (everything from hugging to sex is rewiring). It's generally recommended (but not a strict rules) you go for an extended period of sexual abstinence (3-6 months) before beginning the rewiring process. Our brains need a deep rest after all the abuse we've thrown at it.

2 months ago I went to a doctor and discover a bacterial prostatitis.i took antibiotics and is was fine...now I have the same symptoms like then and I have to take another sperm sample(masturbation) to laboratory.I just startet couple of days ago nofap and I wanted to take for 90 days straight.what should I do?

I myself am over the 450 days in hardmode reboot. Tho I have not had any sexual encounters.. so I dont know where I am exactly in the reboot. I do have better morning wood and a much clear head and I can honestly say I feel better about myself. It's going to take time and things may never be the same. We dont really know.... but you can sure as hell find out by just stop doing those things.. and just be done for life. Never will I return and I have great confidence in that because sex with a person is 110% better with a partner  .. my hand cant cut it.
