Kind of glad to be back into the pace of the regular routine now that the holidays have come and gone.  Generally pleased with how things are going but I'm staying alert and am also making sure I am careful with appropriate web usage.

1 Day Clean

A 57 day streak comes to an inglorious end.  I know exactly how it transpired, mainly by not doing what I should be doing in other areas (work, family responsibilities, etc) thus pressuring this area.  It was also due to not controlling some thoughts maybe 2 days prior.  I started deceiving myself and then it is all downhill after that.

Joel and Phin, thanks for the encouragement.

jixu, it's all in how you decide to paint this picture now.

This is just a speedbump, and little warning that any slack in diligence can bring us to this place of playing out an old patterned behavior.

You went 57 days clean! That's no small feat. If you take those 57 days and add them to your last streak, and perhaps the one before that, then you can say, for example, you've been clean for 100 days, and only lapsed 1 or 2 times.

I know from your answers and posts here that you're a serious rebooter, one who takes your recovery as highly important. In that regard, you help me to stay sharp. So thank you!

I know that it's so easy to fall back into our former habits... Just this morning I felt that need within me, a post here, a topic there, I knew that all too familiar feeling to linger on social media, and perhaps indulge. So, these are decisions, even after so many days, that we must make mindfully.

By all means, don't think that you're 'starting all over', or anything like that. We know that this is all a part of recovery.

Blessings to you, standing with you, jixu!

1 Day Clean

Congrats on this first day, which I'm sure will be the first of many  :D.
No evidence of storm clouds brewing in your recent posts, mate. Looks like you have some solid thoughts on why it happened, though. If you're saying something along the lines of "if I look after my obligations to others, the resulting calm makes a slip much less likely to happen", then I'm in absolute agreement with you. Wishing you strength, pal.

Pretty nice weekend of conversation, exercise, fresh air, and some burgers and fries washed down with some soda-the simple things in life!

Noticing some rebooters, including new arrivals, are putting up some good progress-that is great to see.

WIP and Phineas, thanks for the encouragement; feeling pretty good about things, and looking for improvement as well.  Know what I need to do, just need to do it.

As I'm sure you will, jixu! I have every confidence that you're on your way toward greater and greater progress.

As a believer, you know that what's true is that you're already- right now- that new creation you want to be. It's like unwrapping a Christmas present, the gift has already been given to you, you already have it in your possession. You just simply need to unwrap it.

Standing with you, as you walk out the person you've always wanted to be!

Getting my exercise routine back and dealing properly with challenges at work.  Buckets of urges somedays and barely a drop the next; you never know what a day may bring forth!

Phineas, thanks for the good reminders!

Sounds like you're doing all the right things to meet your needs and confront challenges at work. Congrats on 25 days! That's excellent!

Hi LetItGo-thanks for the encouragement.  It is always great to hear from you!

Been doing good at limiting my purposeless internet usage-that is key for me!

Finally got in a jog after I hadn't run in maybe a month-it was kind of brutal but felt good at the same time!  Been doing good at limiting my non-purposeful web usage.  Work is getting demanding again but I'm used to that by now.
