In dire need of help

Hello all,

I have a different situation,  i can't find one like mine in the forum. I want to reboot and here are some facts :

- I am 30
- Never had sex in my life - as a part of muslim culture, no sex before marriage. But that couldn't refrain me from porn as no one else is watching. That kinda hypocrisy, I know.

- Watching porn for 7/8 years. Masturbating for almost 12 years (before porn videos there were porn magazines and fantasy)

- Masturbation was at peak since i started watching porn. For 5/6 years it was 7/8 times / week in average.

- Suddenly one year back, I observed that only porn is turning me on. Even touch of a girl in my private part is not turning me on

- Yet I didn't refrain from porn and Masturbation but I was looking for the problem and solution. I saw your videos 2/3 months back. Since then I have tried several times to take myself away from porn and I couldn't refrain myself for long time.

- The last incident was 7/8 days ago and I decided not to go for it again. Since then my penis is shriveled and kinda numb. So, from anxiety I watched a porn toady and it turned me on. But , what I saw today, generally after a porn I can masturbate 3 times easily. But today I could do only once. Even porn can not turning me on for a 2nd one. And I was out just within 2/3 minutes.

I am anxious and worried. I want to leave it totally and ready to do anything. Any suggestion for me ?

actually your story is not too different from many stories in this community.

If you start your reboot you will enter a flatline. Completely normal.

Please don't be that guy who thinks porn and masturbation are positive for your sex health. These things prolong flatline symptoms - however flatline really is the very first stage of your reboot. It cannot/ should not be avoided.

Good luck and welcome.  You have to completely give up M and P.  There is no other way.  I have to say that I feel sorry for you as the repression in Muslim culture only makes it worse.  If you could get a woman partner that would make giving up M and P so much easier.  It makes no sense to think that God, any God, wants you to not have sex with a woman but to masturbate to a computer... makes no sense.  We are here to support you.

Thanks a lot guys for your support and good advice. Since 5th March and today is 11th, I didn't watch a single porn and jerk off. I am happy about that. The thing is, most of the times I am am having the flat line.

hey! I'm muslim too and I've been addicted to porn since i was 10 (am currently 19). I've found the only way to do it is to quit porn and masturbation completely. Praying might also help, pray for the strength to fight it, pray to show thankfulness that you've gone as long as you have without porn. The flatline is normal, I've been in a flatline since day 1 and have heard stories about people being in it for months. It can suck but in this time, try to keep your mind off of it and work on bettering yourself in every way.
