Hello everyone, i am new in this site, and i want to start the process of quit watching porn,
because i realized it caused me performance anxiety.
I wanted to ask is it necessary to stop masturbating as well, even if i am not watching porn during masturbation?

Thanks alot!

I do not think it requires a person the stop jerking.  Sex is a biological need.  If masturbation is forbidden the so must be fucking.

I can only cum while watching porn.  I try jack off and oral sex with wife but neither work.  I will have to reprogram myself.  This is going to be very difficult . . . I think I can stop the porn but not being able to cum any other way is going to be frustrating.

Just my opinion

We don't need sex to stay alive. Masturbation and sex are completely different things and putting them in the same box can't be done.

If you have erectile dysfunctions caused by porn you CAN still recover while masturbating but it's not often that people will recover while still masturbating. The less sexual stimulus you have (exclude sexual stimulus from real women) the faster recovery seems to be.

If you're going to masturbate get it done quickly as you can, don't fantasize and don't do it often

For best results, why don't you just cut out masturbation as part of your reboot program.
I see this question a lot.
If anything at all has the potential
to be counterproductive, why not just quit it while you recover?
If there is any doubt, then go with the one that you are sure will get a certain result.

You can try to keep masturbating. No one can tell you, what will work 100% in your case, because every man is different and all reboots are different as well.

The important thing is, wether you get progress or not. So you can try and just quit porn, but keep masturbating and having sex (I assume you have sex, since you said you have performance anxiety). If after a few months things haven't improved, you can still quit masturbation for a few months at that time, when you need to adjust your reboot to find out what works for you.

There would also be many good reasons, why you could just stop right now though. Lots of guys did not feel, that masturbation helped with the reboot and you will find many accounts saying, they think masturbation held them back. In the first six months, I also made a point to really reduce MO and sometimes was able to stop for several months.

I always find that masturbation comes with a rather harsh chaser effect, one that's very difficult for me to overcome personally.  Everyone is different though.
