After skipping about 7 months of
nofab I relapsed recently and I could not go beyond the week, despite many attempts.

Why can't I skip a week of nofab?

because the first few weeks are the hardest for most people in every addiction. I guess it has to do with body used to being loaded with porn at regular intervals and so it makes max effort to get what it wants.

Why is this post in success stories though? i need to read good success stories here.

A wise man once said, "It's harder for an addict to go from day 1 to 2 than it is to go from day 99 to day 100." Or something of that effect. The longer you go without something, anything, the easier it is. This is especially true of addictions. Your brain adapts over time to rewire and live without pornography. Right after a relapse, your brain wants more and it struggles without it. It's always hard the first 1-2 weeks after relapse. But it gets much easier beyond.
