For how long it will take to medically recognize that porn induces ED

Hi there! I am 40, dentist from Serbia.I have been heavy internet porn user for last 10 years. Eventhough I am happily married, and have been very satisfied with my sex life, I've been addicted to porn, because it offered me variety, and I was rather porn addicted than unfaithful. I am sure I am not the only one who was a heavy porn user because of that.
I would probably watch porn today, if  ED didn't happen, all of a sudden. It was one year ago, I am perfectly healthy, and I was very confused.
The main problem was not sex life with my wife, my erection was pretty good, not great, but good enough, what
was realy disturbing and almost shocking was the fact that I couldn't masturbate no more!! I was not able to get erection from masturbation, I needed chat and porn in order to cum, more and more, and at the end, I wad constantly fapping with flaccid penis in order to have orgasm.
Then I found your site, and I finally realized what is the problem. As a dentist, I've got a pretty good knowledge about physiology of human body, and everything I read and found about impotence has never given me a clue that it might be somehow connected to porn use.
I was sceptical at first, but I found  everything on your site very well documented, seriously analized and logical. So, after few unsuccesful refaps, I finally succeded.
After 8 weeks, I am the new man. Very happy, completely without ED, masturbating the same way I did when I was 13.
I can't tell you how gratefull I am to all of you.
At the end, I just wanna say how surprised I am that your rebooting principe  is not something that is widely accepted  and completely incorporated in modern medical doctrine in treating impotence, and other problems connected with heavy porn use. It is definitely much more important than eating broccoli and seeds. It is a cornerstone treatment of treating impotence, other than physical, off course.
Keep up the good work, and sorry if my english is not the best.

Congratulations on your recovery. It's great you found the information here helpful.

Streaming internet porn is a new phenomenon and it will take time for the medical/scientific professions to catch up.

Good job, Doctor!

Would you please give us some insight on what you did to recover so quickly? (besides not using porn, et al)

Thanks

Thanks guys! It wasn't so quickly. As I said, I have tried to reboot few times, first time 1 year ago. In just a couple of weeks without porn  everything was perfect, so I thought it wasnt't about porn at all. I thought it was temporary depresion or something like that. So I started sex chat, virtual sex, watching porn again, and everything went well.. but in just a couple of weeks, ED came back. It was worse then before.. I was struck and surprised by it.
Then I started rebooting again, few months later. I was not sure what was happening.
So, I first took care about everything else, checked out my health, changed my diet, exercised a lot, ran 3 times a week, lost wait. ED didn' t improve, not even a bit.
Second time, I took it more seriously. I rebooted for about six weeks, and when things got better. I stopped again.
I was not prepared to leave porn, cause I enjoyed it too much.
Then ED came back again, this time worse then ever. I felt unbeliviably down, it hit me so hard. THEN I FINALY UNDERSTOOD THAT PORN IS DESTROYING MY LIFE AND MY MIND.
From that moment on, I new that everything will be ok.
Beleive me, guys, if you can get a hard erection by any means, watching porn, masturbating, having sex...or whatever..then it is completely out of question that you have physical problem.
And if you dont have a physical problem, it is in your head then. And "in your head" today means on internet.
Without it, things start to look like in old days, when girl turns you on just for being a girl. Thank God for that.
I finaly realized that it is not posible to sex chat with 5 different women in one day, have virtual sex, watch porn with milion different sex bombs, have sex with your wife, and stay horny. It is not libido, it's dangerous addiction that messes your brain like hell.
Next time I will tell you more about last, third time, when I finaly rebooted. I realy dont want to watch porn, because my whole life has changed so much after I left this porn crap, that I am much much more satisfied with my whole life, not just sex life.

And now in a few words, today I will give you more details, I rebooted without porn and without masturbation.
I tried not to have sex, but after few weeks, wife almost raped me :)
( i didn' t tell her about my rebooting)
And sex was very good. So, I had sex, with orgasms, 3-4 times a month, hiding the truth about my rebooting all the time. Once I failed, most times  I was rock hard.
But, other then that, I was lifeless, without morning wood, haven't been able to masturbate at all.
And then, after 7-8 weeks, when I almost lost a hope to be able to masturbate at all, everything changed. Libido came back, and it is now clear that it's hear to stay.
Sex is perfect, as perfect as it was when I wasn' t on web all day long. The only reason I am writing all this is to tell you that you can relax and be 100 % sure that your libido and erection will come back.

I have to point out that my biggest problem was the fact that I realized there is no way to get an erection without watching porn. That woke me up. Wait a second, what kind of a male am I , if I can' t get it hard when I want to. I don' t and won' t need this virtual shit, I said to myself.
Sex by itself wasn' t the biggest problem for me, cause I had decent erection with my wife. Or I thought so..

This is a great thread Cane, even with your eastern European style of English. Thanks. You're "the man"  ;D

Congrats doctor! 23 y.o. medical student here, definately medicine doesn't even have an idea about the effects of porn. Hope you use erections properly now. I'll be in Belgrade the whole August as an exchange student, hope I'll have fixed my problems till then ;) ;D ;D

This is exactly what happened to me! I thought I was just getting old (40) and I thought there was no hope for me. It is a good thing I did not go to the doctor, when the problem was actually my computer usage.
