Marijuana
« on: May 04, 2014, 11:58:44 PM »
Hi, im 21and I'm currently rebooting and have been porn free for about 6 months now w/o masturbation (except for maybe 2 or 3 slip ups w/o porn) but I was just wondering, does marijuana slow down my reboot? Does it have any effect at all to ed? I'm clueless but I wanted to ask before I messed up my reboot, so if anyone has any helpful info I'd love for you to share your opinion with me. Thank :)

I'm not sure there's any data on that issue. That said, it would seem to conflict with the general idea that clean living and taking care of your body is best.

I don't know if this answers your question or not, but in my personal experience, marijuana was extremely helpful in overcoming my ED which I have determined to be PIED combined with anxiety.  In fact, the best sex I've ever had was under the influence of Mary Jane.  I wish I could give you a scientific reason why, but that is just my experience with it.  However, that was when I was abusing porn daily while still maintaining a relationship.  It got to the point to where I could only have sex when I was high - both from an ED standpoint and from a 'want to' standpoint.  After a while, however, not even that could get me in the mood.

In regard to how it might affect your reboot, I can't answer that.  I quit smoking well before I started my reboot.  In general though, I would have to recommend against it.  Even if it does help you with ED like it once did for me, it is nothing but a crutch - and you don't want to be reliant on any type of crutch.  Also, I think putting yourself in an altered state of mind like that may put your reboot in jeopardy.  Your urges to PMO may be increased, and your will power to fight against these urges may be decreased.

Proceed with caution my friend.

Hey, I actually tried experimenting the difference between having sex high and having sex sober and personally there wasn't much of a difference but I've decided to quit smoking (and drinking for that matter) for a while anyways to keep a healthy body and to hopefully maximize my reboot. But yes, thank you guys for yalls help!!!
