When do i know im better?
« on: April 28, 2014, 03:09:31 AM »
So I just started and it's day 3 now. I'm reasonably confident that I can fight the urge whenever it hits, but the big thing im asking will this make a difference?
I just started becoming sexually active and each time with my lady friend I've been unable to get anything close to an erection. I want to be able to keep our relationship, but I'm pretty sure that without me hard, it's not going to happen. What are going to be some milestones i can identify and when will I start being able to get hard again?

Hello. The FAQ says it best. Check it out at the URL below:

http://www.rebootnation.org/forum/index.php?topic=70.0

It also contains suggestions on how you can go about rewiring with your girlfriend. Sex (to orgasm) is not recommended for a bit, but you can sexually engage her in several other ways. It may not be good enough for you (or her for that matter) but the first priority is getting better.

I was in a position, when I had to choose between a "clean and healthy" reboot (and probably losing my then new gf due to too slow or unstable progress) or a "dirty" reboot (but maybe keeping my gf with quick, short term results at the risk of doing the reboot "wrong").

You can read all about the clean reboot on this site, in the FAQ linked in the post above or in most no-fap communities.

The dirty reboot needs:
- your will to get an erection no matter what
- having sex, when your body and soul are not ready
- ED-drugs, lots of them and the knowledge how to use them properly
- the knowledge, that you can penetrate with less than 100% erections in certain positions
- a willing partner, that can live with sluggish erections for a while

Then you have sex as often as you can, working your way through flatline-sex, not feeling aroused by your partner, maybe not even feeling her, post-orgasm feelings, that make you question if you even have a sex-drive - while never looking at porn and never masturbating. You keep going, until it gets better. It ain't pretty, but it worked for me. It is worth a shot, if you think you found someone special and think, it might all break apart if you can't have sex soon.

The better and healthier way is of course, to take it slow and do a clean reboot.
