newdam , masturbation will allow your sexual tension to reduce. it will make you calm. but as you said, it brings depression, which can lead you to Porn and it brings chaser effect too. I will suggest you to go cold turkey. NO PMO. but you have to decide yourself. do what you think is best for you. don't listen to any one. we can just suggest you.

I totally agree with You. M is very tricky and it maybe lead to P. So I will watch how it will work for me.
I've never had wet dream in my life, so M is the only way reduce sexual energy for me...

newadam, I understand, sexual energy is really frustrating. I even have wet dreams after 5 days, still I get lot of cravings for Porn after 3 weeks in reboot. but here I want to make sure, these cravings aren't sexual, these cravings aren't from the fact that you didn't masturbated for a while, they are purely for porn. pixel cravings, generated by your brain. sexual tension has nothing to do with these cravings which hit you after 3 weeks in reboot.

After 6 months of  battling P addiction I've decided to quit.
I wanted to increase my productivity, so I' ve decided to start fight P addiction,  but I have noticed that my productivity went down. Participating in rebootnation and reading profiles took a lot of time. More over, half of my brains was totally sex obsessed.
Now I am MO'ing or PMO'ing in the evening after hard working day. It is like a natural reward for me.  I am working hard during the day to receive a dose of dopamine in the evening.
I am doing that for a couple of weeks already.MO or PMO takes much less time  than participating in forum and reading profiles or different articles about P addiction. More over, my libido is very low so I can easily concentrate on task I am working on.
I am not saying that P is good. It is a monster. But I am spending 15 - 25 minutes a week (2- 3 times a week.), so it not time consuming and it is free way to relax. Just a little damage for my brains...:)))

Were you doing this just for time and productivity? Nobody is forcing you to participate on the forum,  after all. Curious choice. Hopefully, that 15-25 minutes doesn't become 5-10 hours.
