It reminds me of something Russell Brand (comedian) said about addiction - it's taking one step at a time, one day at a time, everyday.

day 7 is completed successfully. at afternoon i have some strong urges. first  time i experienced triggers at afternoon in this reboot .

I am waiting for this moment from 2 months. You don't know how much i am happy at this 1 week success.
But as you said there are triggers hidden i am aware about that. I am treating each day as day 1 of my reboot.

Day 9
improvements in this 9 days:
1 . No wet dreams
2. No Foggy head that much
3. Focused on my  personal goals rather than observing others.
4. my confidence is increasing day by day.
5. The fear of relapse is decreasing.
6. feeling the importance of life.

There are triggers at yesterday night , i am thinking that its ok relapse one time and start again , but i remind myself that  this the tricks of my addictive pathways in my mind. from first time when i started to reboot , i had this same trigger. and i am shocked about that , is i am relapsed just because of this single trigger in last 6 years.
So , you  all rebooters please comment if you also feel this type of triggers.

Hey. I started trying to quit porn 3.5 years ago. For the first two years, I'd be hard-pressed to make it over 10 days. Usually would relapse in 7. Now I'm 30 days clean and feeling stronger than ever. In the last year, I've gone one month at a time with fewer severe relapses and back into it. It's not black and white. Slow and steady, keep getting back on the horse and staying clean over and over. Rebooting for me is a slow process. But I'm at 30 days clean, usually, i'd be going absolutely insane- and though I've got withdrawal symptoms (cravings and insomnia and restless legs) - I feel the strongest I've felt. I believe I'm recovering despite the last three years being a relapse then clean cycle. Don't stop the fight. It's a bad addiction but im feeling ill be able to really get free this time- truly ive never felt this strong. 3.5 years of attempting. keep that in mind. and let us face it, now that we know the reality of porn, we can't simply go back to watching it. We're doing the right thing- we've got this.

One of the things I'm doing is watching a few videos on Youtube everyday on semen retention, nofap etc. Some of them are like 20 minutes, so I restrict it to one video. I did that on a previous streak until a major life event sent me on a spiral, but it helped at the time, and, although I'm on Day 3 now, extremely early in the process, I'm doing this again.

It helps reinforce the positive aspects. to nofap.

OK. Just thinking that maybe you could do with something to kill of libido altogether, so that even if you do start fapping, you'll just stop, because it's pointless.

I'm taking liquorice (licorice) root, and I've noticed it's killed my libido somewhat, and that the urges I've been feeling are not from my penis or balls, but from my head.

I fapped two times today . So Day 0 is ended with 2 relapses. Tommorow is day 1.

I am no expert in how to deal with urges. I saw you asked me in my journal what to do about urges. You know, I believe that in order to deal with urges, you have to do 2 things:

1) Stay away from porn material;
2) Find something that works for you against urges (some people do push-ups, cold showers, go out for a walk, go out for a run, leave the room and go somewhere else away from computer, phone etc.).

I saw that you have problems at night. Think about what could you do about it. Can you do push-ups? Go for a run? Take a cold shower? Maybe not. If you don't do any of those, the only thing left to do is wait until the urges lower their intensity while you completely stay away from anything stimulating. Stay away from "a little bit won't hurt" mentality too. Develop the mindset of stopping yourself when the urges to search for porn starts. Exercise helps to some degree with urges because I believe that urges are like a built up energy that you need to release with something. Exercise is good in this case or focusing your energy on accomplishing something. Of course, during the day I mean, not at night.
