How do you feel Arthur2?
Stay strong man!

I read the article of the link you attached and it's very interesting. Thank you.
Also there are other chapters very interesting like this that I wanted share:

Daily wellness strategies
BEGIN to practice these five daily wellness strategies in order to help improve your mood, increase your energy, and keep yourself as physically and mentally healthy as possible.
B – Breathing Retraining
Practice the breathing retraining exercise 3 times a day (for 5–10 minutes each time). Try practicing it morning, noon, and night to make it easy to remember.
E – Exercise
Any kind of physical exercise will do! You can walk, jog, ride your bike, go to the gym—anything that gets you moving. Aim for at least 20–30 minutes each day.
G – Get enough rest
Get a good night’s sleep and take naps during the day when you need to. If you are having trouble sleeping, talk to your doctor about ways to improve your sleep.
I – Include pleasant activities
Be sure to include some pleasant activities in your day. Do something that is relaxing and fun for you!
N – Nutrition
Eat well. Limit your intake of caffeine, sugar, and salt. Increase your intake of water, colorful vegetables and fruits, and whole grains.

They're simples advices but sometimes we forget to apply them and convert them to good and healthy habits.

How do you feel Arthur2?

Not bad, thank you.
I am still kinda battling the aftermath of my last relapse i think.
I fact, i am facing my negative emotions. When i was not on this journey, i would just have fapped for medication and do it everyday.

I realise how messed up my brain is. I was chained by this addiction for years. Now i am conscious of it.
But it really is a great and interresting challenge to me, to find out what i can become on nofap.

Hard mode seems more and more like the way to go.

I think a lot about this, and realise more and more how crucial it is to do hard mode.

Besides that, i have been working on my goals, i am setting up a new reading discipline in the morning.

I also have that exercize everyday that does me tremendous good. I am kickboxing. I want to do more and more of it. The more i do it, the more i like it.
And it is gonna rebuild my brain (if i dont get punched too hard in the head !!!) by establishing new connections.

Also i try to implement intermittent fasting discipline, and i am pretty good at it i must say.

So i pretty much alredy have that BEGIN thing that you are talking about. Except the B.

The I for me is piano playing and also boxing is so fun.

Thank you for your constant support.

How are you doing yourself ?
You past day 50 right ?

That's great news Arthur2
It's a great begin…I know that martial arts and boxing are great disciplines to increase self steem and confidence absolutely.

I have problems in sleeping so I think I will put in practice some advices of the book you shared the other day:
https://www.oxfordclinicalpsych.com/view/10.1093/med:psych/9780199334513.001.0001/med-9780199334513-appendix-12

I also don't practicing breathing or meditation, but I want definitely. I'm sure this habit will solve my problems of stress and anxiety
I'm also interested in start Yoga. I usually walk 10km at least 4 days/week and 2 weeks ago I started to running a little bit. My goal is to run a 5km marathon at least next year.

About reading yeah, I started to read. I'm interested to read about all this stuff and learn about it. I also read about Art, history and biographies. I think it cultivate my mind. Just I hope to focus my attention about what I'm reading a little more, because my lack of focus due to porn so many years doesn't allow to do it fluency.

I also struggling with diet and eat healthier. Sugar and carbs are another poison to combat.

I'm facing my 53th day (but just accountability doesn't works without goals and focus in life, so this is the most important to me right now)

Thanks and keep strong

Absolutly.
Today i read on YBOP that P has destroyed our ability to memory and focus.
And reading does exactly the opposite. That is why i think a good rewiring is gonna involve this kind of activity.

Day 5 completed.
I dont feel very good luke i was on my last streak, but i dont really care, as long as i am sober and doing what i should be doing, i know i am on the right path.

I am like you, man, my brain has been damaged by P and also video games i think (which i almost dont ever practice any more) and TV etc.

I used to read a lot when i was a kid. And i want to get back to that.

This is part of the reason why my journal is intitled that.

You like to write the number of days with glow?  ;D I see the code when I reply. I have 5 days too. Wait, do we have really the same number of days or what?

When I had my 40 days streak, I didn't really feel good for the first 6 days then starting with day 7 things got pretty good. Let's see what happens this time. I am kind of stress out with some things. And I've been a little bit depressed too. Those could change the things a little.

I'm with you guys, the video games and pmo and tv haven't been great for my brain.  Let's read our way to success!  Any book suggestions?

Ah, I forgot to discuss this too. There seems to be many guys who gamed pretty intensely while being invested in P. They might go hand in hand. Cause I used to play a lot of video games too.

My brain is definitely fried like a chicken in the pan. I can't even MO without feeling the consequences. Maybe my anxiety got worse because of this, I don't know.

If you can' t MO without feeling the consequences, it is a good sign that you are changing your brain already.
Because if there was no consequences, it would just mean that you are completly in tune with MO.
Now you are not in tune with it anymore, therefore it makes you uncomfortable when you do it.

Me too i relate to that by the way (you made me realise that).
I feel discomfort now after MO, which was not the case before i went on nofap. Back then i didnt allow my brain to feel discomfort for one second, i would just MO immediatly.

We feel discomfort because this is what it really is.
We can feel it for what it really is.

The gospel of John in the King James Bible, to learn about spiritual salvation of the soul.
To be taken literally.

Yes i use glow to help readers to see right away what day i am on.
Because when i go to other journals, i oftentimes have a hard time finding out what day they are on.

Not that the day is so important (i even read an article warning us against focusing too much on the day) but it helps quickly figuring out where the guy is on his journey.

Basically it gives the context of the post. Sorta like the chapter of a book.

Alright, so i wrote day 1 completed when i first completed my first 24 hour sober time.
For example if i relapsed in the afternoon, i will write here "Day 1 complete" the next day at around midnight.
The day of the relapse is day 0 for me.
If i relapse on monday afternoon, day 1 finished on tuesday night about midnight.
I count a whole 24 hour day of abstinence as a day 1.

So.
I just finished day 5.
It means that i relapsed on thursday afternoon.
I am in France, so for USA (as i assume most men here live in the USA) it was thursday morning early.

Are we on the exact same day now ?

You know, working on my spirituality has done a lot of things for me.

Come on, do you mean you don't find what day I'm on?  :P I write in bold. Yes, I sometimes don't like obsessing with the number of days either. Sometimes it's more useful not to but whatever.

About the day, yes we have the same number of days (5).

Thank you free man  :)

I feel better today. The urges were not that strong compared to last night. I had a hard time sleeping because of them thoughts keeping me awake.

I am keeping myself very busy. I feel stronger and more motivated today.

And thank you all for the books suggestions.

Alright.

Me too then. Let s get to 10.

Congrats to you too.

Yes. I like to set checkpoints like that. One week first then 10 days, 2 weeks, 20 days, 3 weeks (even though it comes just one day after 20 days, I chose 20 days cause it's a round number and then the next checkpoint is also so close, just a day  ;) ) Then 25 days, 4 weeks (only 3 days to go) etc. You got the idea, I guess. I don't even want to think about stuff like "Alright, let's go 90 days." This puts a lot of pressure on me. Even 1 month sounds scary when you are just on day 1.
