Day 19 hardmode. Cravings have subsided. I have no urge to look at P. Still tension in groin area. My mind wonders what the point of continuing is. I almost MO'd in the shower last night. I have been having strong erections at the slightest sexual thought (not recalling P). I have to try hard to steer my mind away, as then the urge to MO becomes strong. I think the urge to MO is actually far stronger than to look at P. I think reaching the end of January should be quite east, but I am not complacent. I hope everyone else is going well.

Alright, if I make it to the end of the month without relapsing, I will start the challenge for February.

Okay.

I'll make it to the end of the month without relapsing and then I'll start the challenge for February.

Is it better now?

Day 7, done. Had some bad news with work this evening and was very close to P. Its amazing how much you crave that dopamine rush when you feel low. Well I got straight onto RB and started this post. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow guys.

Hey man, how long have you been without morning wood for? And have you gotten it back?

22 clear.  XFL91 asked about morning wood.  It is an interesting phenomena in connection with porn addiction.  When I was using porn, never.  Now, without porn, almost every morning. There is a neurological explanation, but I do not know what it is. Back tomorrow to report 23 clear.  Post often.  It helped me, it will help you. Smiley face emodicon.  But seriously, yeah.

Not sure what happened to the OP, Changemylife. He seems to have deactivated his account. Sounds like he is in a bad place after his relapse. Hope he can find his way back.

Sometimes we just have to leave.  The purpose of this place is to fix it; fixing it does not take forever.  Fixing it sucks, but pain is the price we pay for freedom. I am grateful for Gabe because he built a place to fix it.  Changemylife helped us by starting this.  He is walking his road; we are walking ours.  Those roads are always challenging.  I will finish this month clear.  24.  Clear. Never going back.

Day 24 Hardmode. I have noticed that pretty much all urges have subsided. Not masturbating or looking at porn substitutes seems to be my automatic setting now, rather than vice versa. Of course, I am very much aware that this could simply be a temporary illusion. I'm not planning on becoming complacent. Not sure how I feel once I hit the 30 day mark at the end of the month - I have a feeling it could be point of inflexion, which might be hard to deal with psychologically.

Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to changemylife for starting this thread - were it not for him and this thread I do not think I would have started the new year with a renewed determination or been able to string this streak together (my longest since last spring). Thank you.
