Has sex/orgasm ever set you back?
« on: February 17, 2019, 05:21:35 AM »
I am pretty sure from reading through other posts and threads on the forum that it is possible for sex to set you back if you orgasm but I just want to hear it clear as day with some peoples direct responses from their own experiance.

Approximately 40 days into my reboot I was able to successful achieve an erection (all be it with cialis) when I was fooling around with my ex girlfriend. I was not 100% expecting much of anything to happen but I thought I would drop a cialis anyway.

Anyway things happened and I felt extremely connected to her in a way I have not done in years and my dick was just responding perfectly! Due to her having vaginal pains we did not have intercourse but she did give me the most incredible blowjob that ended with a big O... Dam I did not remember it ever feeling so good haha!  ;D

Well I left with a huge smile on my face thinking wow my reboot is working this is great. However 2 days later she invited me over again and this time I obviously knew where it was heading but for some reason my brain just would not engage this time and I just felt a complete lack of arousal so there was not a good enough erection acheieved for sex and even as she was sucking me off I was just going limp. Arghhhhhhhhhhh! Soooooooooo frustrating!!!!

I believe that maybe it was that one O that I had that could have set me back from what I have researched but I just want to hear confirmation that others have had exactly the same experience as it will just help put my mind at ease and Ill relax again.

Thanks Lads!!

Did you take cialis the second time?
First Realised about PIED & first reboot: January 2017
Last PMO: August 2017
(Caused shrunk penis and even softer erection! Porn temptation instantly vanished due to shock of discovery!!)

Last MO:
August 2019
At least 1 six months Hardmode and 2 three months hardmode.

So basically, did you orgasm and suffered symptoms similar to flatline after?

Only symptom was not being able to get it up two days later for sex when I was able to the first time. No other symptoms really.

Did the characteristics of your first sexual experience  resemble characteristics of a typical PMO session? So, for example, you ejaculated using her hands?

Nope. I stated in the original post that she gave me a blowjob and that is how I orgasmed.

I suppose the basic question so we can get back to what I was asking is has an orgasm with a partner ever put someone back during the early stages of a reboot by then subsequently making it difficult to become aroused again and therefore get an erection. Call it a flatline or whatever but that was the only symptom as far as I can tell. An inability to get aroused again.

Yes to your question.  The process can be very non linear.  Eventually orgasms should stop throwing you back into flatlines.
Been rebooting since May 2015.  A handful of relapses in that time.  Have SLOWLY improved since then.  Finally starting to see some lasting success since summer of 2018.

Can orgasms w/o sex with someone else throw someone into a flatline, potentially?

Orgasms throw me back. I avoid them IMO. If your like me and get to where you feel hopeless after an orgasm or that you have bad self-esteem after an orgasm, then you probably need to avoid them until you can possibly find a better way. I have no been able to find a better way for myself. But, does one really need orgasm to be happy in sex? My opinion: absolutely not as it is more about connection to the life of the female than a personal orgasm anyways.

Orgasms without sex you mean set you back right?

To me there is no significant difference with orgasm personally or socially. It has very similar affects on my porn-free life. But, yes I meant orgasm without sex.

This is the kinda answer I wanted to hear to confirm this. That an orgasm even if it is with someone else from actual successful sex can set back your reboot and put you into a flatline just like it can do if you PMO.

Thank you for your response. You are the only one that has answered this so far instead of asking more questions lol

Well asking questions is sometimes the way to extract more information in order to derive a more accurate answer back!

Personally, I'm not sure if what he' saying has any scientific basis behind it.

This is true about the scientific basis.  Can only tell you what I have experienced and others have reported experiencing as well.

No problem.  I would feel hopeless and crushed when I felt like I was getting close to being healed and an orgasm would throw me back into a flatlines.  These days that happens rarely to never.  Hang in there, it should get better.

I'm intrigued by this Aswell.

Sex with orgasm set me back a few days but I never hit a flatline afterwards, just had a long refractory period.

I MO'd 7 days ago for the first time in 10 months and I've hit a huge flatline, shrinking and pale penis, brain fog, the lot. I now have full blown ED again...
