5 days in and feeling pretty good. Experiencing quite a bit of brain fog. Having a good deal of trouble organizing arguments for my philosophy term paper. Anyone have any idea how long the brain fog lasts?

I came twice with my girl this weekend, both times I finished manually unfortunately. Do I reset my counter? Otherwise I haven't fapped nor have I watched any porn

Only porn counts as a true relapse. Don't beat yourself up over masturbation. Just try to keep up a healthy style and do whatever you think you need to do in order not to go back to porn.

Go bro go bro, go all in with this, you have a girl, be the best you can be, for you and for her. porn is no more an option, so you should not have to worry about this, get rid of this in your mind.

same as phakephakerson, don't beat yourself, never beat yourself actually.  do your best to be heatlhy of body mind and spirit and you will be great bro.

lets go bro, you can do it, do it for u and ur girl
have a great day ;)

I'm giving my all this time ! give myself 30 days to hit this shit with all i have

Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate the support! Having a ton of cravings today it's been really tough not to relapse. I've also been experiencing a considerable amount of emotional fluctuation-manic happiness along with deep sadness-is this common? Anyone else experienced this and gotten past it?

Hi Jean-Jacque

Can't say specifically in your case as we are all different, but we DO know that the withdrawl symptoms will pass.
I just finished "Wack: Addicted to Internet Porn" by Noah Church.   It has some great stuff on getting past urges as well as a good bit on the withdrawl symptoms.   Also he included a story by a guy who had gone a long time ( I think 200 days).  The guy sang of the praises of the program, but then he added that in the reboot he relapsed 80-100 times!  Proof positive that we can lick this if we keep getting up and back on the program.  Here's to you in your recovery and may you find relief from the up's and down's as well as the brain fog.

Thanks for the reply man! It is funny how these sorts of things work, one day you can be feeling helpless and the next you can be feeling totally powerful and autonomous. As you say I will keep pluggin away ;)

That's what I've been realizing, I found that thinking of this process as healing myself I am able to see these withdrawal symptoms as a purging of "demons" of sorts. Thanks man!

Just passed that 1/3 of the way mark! feeling great. I am also rapidly approaching my record of five weeks. To all of you out there who might be battling depression or suffering along through this I have a nice reframe for you to use that has helped me. Nietzsche suffered all throughout his life, but he found great peace and power in getting a sort of perverted pleasure in the suffering. After a long day of feeling shitty and working hard all day, rather than resting or doing some other task that involves mindless stimulation, I throw myself into the gym and try to put myself through as much pain as possible. Suffering to return better and harder-cleansed by flame. I'm finding my power and confidence returning to me. Enjoy the pain as if you have asked for it, as if it is what you need from the universe and what you will gladly accept.

Also if you don't have a counter, set one up. Seeing that little green bar move ever so slightly each day is very satisfying in a sense and it reminds you how far you have come. Resetting is no longer an option.

Question about what counts as a porn relapse.. I was doing some research about the porn I am specifically addicted too and type in "(insert fetish here) porn addiction". As soon as I did I saw one of the tumblr blogs I used to browse. Just from seeing the name I had a huge rush of dopamine, my head is still spinning from it. Does this count as a relapse? I DID NOT click the link and I did not view any porn yet the fact that the neural pathway was activated worries me.

stay strong dude, we r counting on you. choose not to indulge when the urge come and do something else. each day is a new day, and each day, each each each day you face and overcome the urge, you will wake up fresh and clean and just so proud and happy to have resisted. after your pain is your reward bro !

peace :)

Back on the wagon. Having some gnarly anxiety withdrawals. Planning on posting here more for more accountability. It's pathetic I still haven't made it 90 days

Best streak in a while. I'm going to make it this time. However I still am experiencing quite a bit of brain fog which for me seems to be having a headache and not having my cognitive faculties running on all cylinders. Has anyone else experienced the same? the best way of describing it is that I just feel "dumb". I'm also in a flatline-almost feel soul-less.
