It's mind boggling to me that she cares this much about people trying to quit porn.  Sexual harassment claims aren't something you just carelessly throw around.  I'm glad she's getting put on front street by these lawsuits.

Alot of guys start out worried it's something else.  I did too in the beginning.  If you already got the all clear from a urologist I would try to relax, just focus on rebooting, and give yourself a chance to heal.

What did you think that your issue was when you started in the beginning? Venous leak as well?

Yeah, after it took more than 90 days I thought it was probably something else along with PIED.  After all this time I can tell you in my case it was definitely PIED.  I did see a urologist in the beginning though as well.

I've been at this a long time, and yes, my refractory period has improved greatly.  Used to be weeks at a time.  Now it's generally a couple days, sometimes less.

I would say it's definitely a better option than pmo.  I've found, for myself, that MO to even realistic memories usually sets me back.  I'm also usually craving porn for a week or so afterwards as well.  But everyone's different and the important thing is you stayed away from the porn.  Just be careful about a chaser and keep moving forward. Yes to your question.  The process can be very non linear.  Eventually orgasms should stop throwing you back into flatlines.

This is the kinda answer I wanted to hear to confirm this. That an orgasm even if it is with someone else from actual successful sex can set back your reboot and put you into a flatline just like it can do if you PMO.

Thank you for your response. You are the only one that has answered this so far instead of asking more questions lol

No problem.  I would feel hopeless and crushed when I felt like I was getting close to being healed and an orgasm would throw me back into a flatlines.  These days that happens rarely to never.  Hang in there, it should get better.

Well asking questions is sometimes the way to extract more information in order to derive a more accurate answer back!

Personally, I'm not sure if what he' saying has any scientific basis behind it.

This is true about the scientific basis.  Can only tell you what I have experienced and others have reported experiencing as well.

Excellent post!  Merry Christmas to you as well!

recently cut out

I agree, sounds like a flatline.  This can take a fair amount of time before you see improvements.  I know it's easier said than done, but try to relax and ride it out.   Eventually you should start to notice some changes.

Did you recently cut out porn or have you been porn free the last two years?

I guess if something went wrong with the procedure, maybe it could.  My understanding is that the probability is low.  I would check with a urologist just to be on the safe side.  I know know my pied started well before I had a vasectomy.

Congrats!  Very interesting about the testosterone.  I've read some that said it did nothing for them and others that said it was a Godsend.  I'm glad you got it figured out and turned the corner.  If you don't mind me asking, what was your t-level?  I got tested when I started rebooting too and was also told I was in normal range.  But after rebooting this long I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's something else...   Again, congratulations.

Just remember that recovery can be extremely non-linear.  If you were experiencing success before you'll experience it again.  Hang in there, it will eventually stick.

Agreed, I too would love to see you post your experience for everyone to read.  Congratulations on your recovery.

It took me way longer than 90 days.  90 days is a good start but not long enough for some guys.  If you keep going you should start feeling better.  When I first started rebooting I wish I would have had the mindset "if I stay away from PMO I'll eventually start feeling better" than "if I stay away from PMO for X number of days, I'll start feeling better".

Every case is different, but yours has a lot of similarities to mine.  I just hit three years at the end of April.  My first year was terrible and the next two showed slow improvement with a lot of hit and miss as far as PIED.  The last two months erections have been awesome and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm out of the woods.  That's 3+ years though to get to this point.

I guess my point is that it can take a long time and you're just not quite there yet.  I think if you keep going you'll make it, you just need some more time.  Hope this helps.

It's ALL good.  If you have a woman who wants to make out with you and you want to make out with her go for it!  It's real life and that's what you want.  Screw the flatline.  In my experience doing REAL things brings me out of a flatline as opposed to just shutting everything down completely.

The main problems with masturbation are two fold. Because masturbation it's an artificial stimulation to get an orgasm, you may get desensitized to the real thing (vagina). And you may soon find that you want a stronger orgasm and your imagination alone is not enough to get it, having a real risk of slipping to porn again.  Beware, there is no such thing as "just one more time" when you know that enough is enough.

I think it's a matter of time until we don't feel the need to masturbate. We'll appreciate just having a great erection, as it is: a strong sign of virility. And real sex, the only valid sex, when a nice chance appears.

This has exactly been my experience with masturbation.   There are some people that can get away with it, but when I masturbate my EQ suffers

Porn Addiction / Re: PE Caused by PIED

Yes, I've experienced this countless times.  If my EQ sucks it's a certainty PE is going to happen.  When my EQ is good, PE is non-existent.  Just another gut punch to couple with PIED.

It could just be you are one of the lucky ones.  I would say enjoy it.  It sounds like you may recover quicker than most.

Yes, you have described my rebooting experience exactly.  There is no rhyme or reason to when my erections will or won't work.  I also agree with uncertainty.  I have no idea why the process can be so non-linear, but it's very frustrating...

More a recovery than addiction question, but I would love to know if he has any theories as to why recovery can be so non-linear.  Thanks!
