Precise: I will call you ignorant as many times as I want. And I will add that you seem like a horrible nasty person as well.

Sounds like you are having a difficult time, sorry to hear it.

Have you talked to your wife about your struggles?

Yeah they don't understand. It's funny how some people are so confident in their ignorance.

Sometimes it can help in the moment with cravings, just when you take your mind of it by choosing an activity to do. Instead watch an asmr video and the positive effects like feeling calm and relaxed help.

It works great for me. I am 12 days without pmo now. And it's the easiest 12 days I ever had.

Yeah, I am on 11 days now. And the horrible idea of having to start again at 0 motivates me to not fall back.

There is nothing sexual about it, and it doesn't have to be a woman. Don't dismiss something because of your own prejudice.

It seems a bit weird at first maybe but it can really help with cravings, and it makes you feel relaxed.

I find it difficult to deal with the cravings for pmo. Sooner or later it seems I will give in.

If any of you know of good ways to keep your mind of p or just a way to make cravings less, let me know.

Yeah, being busy helps me as well. Distraction can be a great thing to beat addiction!

Yes, it's annoying. Especially since the moderators and the administrators don't react to questions about the tracker problem.

I am on day 5 of yet another attempt to quit. Already I feel I am going crazy, my head is beating and there are constant aches.

Perhaps you should ask your loving god why porn is here at all.

Day 3

Things are getting more difficult already. The cravings are there.

I am trying to stay in the right mindset, I Wish I could just detach (psychologically) from my penis :). Things would be easier.

To me masturbation isn't addictive, pmo is. Therefore I am not against masturbation except when you're rebooting.

Your body needs that release every once in a while, why else would there be wet dreams?

I am trying to get a tracker but it still doesn't work when I click the link. But some people have trackers of only 4 days old. I have tried on my laptop and ipad.

I play as much tennis as I can. Running and fitness bores me though but I will definitely try to do those things as well. Thanks for the advice!

Day 1

I am giving it another try. The first days are always the most difficult for me because I usually start to feel better after a few days, so I feel pretty bad now and time is moving slowly. I am desperately looking for new ways to tackle this problem of pmo addiction so if you have any NEW ways of trying to beat this let me know!

Einstein once said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" so I need to do things differently if I want to succeed this time.

Things I will do differently this time:

1. Update my diary DAILY on rebootnation

2. Having the right minset to succeed (post from maddream on Porn Addiction). Read that post every day to help to stay in the right mindset.

3. Exploring new ways to keep a strong motivation, because my motivation levels are all over the place. I can feel strong on tuesday and feel down on wednesday.

4. I have downloaded 2 apps for daily motivation quotes and reminders of the negative effects of porn use.

I will try to come up with other things I will do differently this time.

I will update this thread daily.

AscendingFire: thank you for your kind words, And yes it's not the same when I started to quit 6 years ago. I have made progress. And pmo probably 1/4 of what it was. I just have real difficulty dealing with relapses to the point of where I just can't take it anymore and that puts a lot of pressure on every attempt to quit.

Totem: I have had several years of therapy, but I have real problems truly opening up to a therapist.
I have been diagnosed with an avoidant personality disorder.

It feels like you are trying to find an excuse to fully relapse because you " did it anyway".

Watching non explicit videos on youtube is not a relapse.

KittyHawk: I am anxious, but it's easy for me to be around girls and talk to them. I just have difficulty when things get more serious/ intimate.

I try to be more active and play more sports etc but I still have too much time on my own sitting on the couch.
