This is day 7 (began rebooting immediately after my first time of ED to porn) and I stupidly gave into the urge to "test" my erection. I thankfully chose not orgasm but was surprised to find that I could get fully hard without porn or porn fantasy. I managed to briefly delude myself after this that I was "cured" but the same evening I was not able to get an erection. Never attempted sex with a partner so no idea how I'd get on with it, but its clear that I have at least a few more months work to do. Anyone heard a similar story?

Yep. If you're only a week in you will be analysing every little thing I imagine! Eventually you stop caring so much and realise you have a lot to get through yet and counting every day is ultimately counter productive. Your progress won't be an upward trend either, you'll feel different and better, but then go back downhill again before more improvement, you just need to relax and ride it out until you've got to at least 90 days and beyond. The hardest part is the start though!

People will throw a lot of stuff at you to try, but you just need to remember that all you really need to do is avoid porn. If it feels like porn, or you get a similar feeling you got when watching porn, it is probably still "porn". This could be from things like searching around on Facebook, or looking at racy magazines, or even fantasizing about women.

Maybe try to lower your MO frequency for awhile too. You see, that's one of the things people will tell you to try. And maybe you should do it, but it shouldn't be your #1 priority.

When you say ED to porn, are you saying that even with porn you could not get/maintain an erection?

I think the time you are not able to get hard with a lady is very important to your recovery. It really puts things into perspective and shows you the importance of your rebooting.
