Losing erection when standing\changing positions?

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with losing erections when standing\changing sex positions?  I have noticed for awhile now that i find it very difficult to maintain an erection when standing\changing positions and it is lost after a couple of seconds.  Do you know what is the cause of this?  I am guessing it is from prolonged pmo (training our bodies to only get an erection while sitting\laying down) but i am also worried this might be a physical issues (weak pelvic muscles or high blood pressure).  I am hoping rebooting or kegel exercises might fix this but i want to hear if anyone was successful in finding a cause and curing this issue.

Any thoughts and advice is greatly appreciated.

What do you think is the cause of this though?  Is it anxiety,weak pelvic muscles, etc? and do you rebooting will fix this?

This is common for those suffering from PIED. This was the case with me as well. The reboot will resolve this. My standing up erections have improved significantly since I started rebooting almost 9 months ago. Please look into kegels (see my earlier posts) this has also helped me a lot in the last 2 months and a lot of rebooters say that kegels help improve ereciton quality.

I think this is common because either 1) pmo weakens the pelvic floor muscles which help standing up erections and/or 2) heavy pmo = sitting down M. Not used to getting erect standing up.
 
I also have the same problem. When I stand the erection will be gone very fast. I hope that my recovery will fix this problem.

Same here. While laying my morning wood would stay for 3-5 minutes after waking up. But if I  immediately stood up from bed it would die down in 5 seconds.

Keep going guys. I can assure you that the reboot will help resolve this. I am nto 100 percent yet and have been rebooting for 9 months...but I can say that the reboot has helped significantly. Just keep going and stick with the program. And I am finding kegels helpful.

i have been doing kegel exercises and was at 77 days in my reboot until i relapsed last Saturday.  During my relapse, i still had issues holding erections while standing which concerns me that rebooting alone might not be able to fix this.  My plan currently is to complete my goal of 128 days no pmo and continue doing kegel exercises but afterwards i am thinking of trying to practice M while standing up and  to sensation alone without O or P or fantasy.  I think i need to adapt my body to getting and maintaining an erection at this position.  What do you guys think?

I recommend against ED pills. They may help but might also result in a psychological dependency (happened to me).

Regarding the changing of positions, I think that is anxiety related. When looking at porn, I found that I quickly became bored and had to switch to a new image/video to keep the dopamine high going. Switching positions could be a loss of control that drops the excitement or interest or adds some anxiety.

Were you able to find a solution?
Was this only PIED or something related to weak pelvic floor muscles?

This has happened to almost every rebooter so don't be scared or worried too much.In my case my obsession if I would be able to maintain an erection while standing or changing positions made me lose it almost every time.It puts you out of the moment and activates so called "fight or flight stance" and thus shuts down your arousal centers that create erection.Believe me I know it is hard but try not to get into your head,focus on the most beautiful part of your SO and think about how to make their experience as pleasurable as possible,ask them what they would like you to do for them and send all your attention towards them.Also maybe engage in some small hot talk,I know for a fact that is a turn on for most people.If you focus on such things you won't be unnecessarily worrying about your willy and he will work,but it takes time to get that mindset.I'd recommend kegels anytime,ED pills - I don't know they didn't help me at all but I know they helped a lot of other people so it's up to you.

a very common problem. it will get better as you go forward with your rewiring process so dont worry too much about it. also, dont fuck around with those ed pills. theyre a bandaid solution at best, and you may become dependant on them which will render your reboot useless. the best way to recover the normal healthy functioning of your cock is to rewire your brain, theres no shortcuts
