13 years old, youngest on rebootnation

Hello guys, i am afraid to admit that ive fapped way too much (2-3 times a day) and one day after i orgasmed my penis became lifeless extremely flaccid but no shrinkage. Morning wood vanished same with libido and emotions and dopamine in general. My penis FEELS Like its not part of me anymore. An "attached to body" feeling and im really really scared, am i done for life?

Definitely not buddy, you are actually way ahead of the game. Many of us are trying to quit and are much older than you so you have nothing but time on your hands. The biggest piece of advice I have for you is to try to figure out a way to install porn blockers on all of the devices you view it on. That being your cell phone, computer, laptop, etc. The one sure fire way of not relapsing is not having access to your addiction. Especially if you are really addicted.

Without a doubt you can recover. Your mind is still developing at a pretty decent rate so nothing is set in stone at all. You can easily reverse all of these effects by abstaining from both porn and masturbation for an extended period of time and in my opinion you will be healed in 2-3 months.

Yes you can definitely recover. Everybody can even the really bad examples. But you should also be prepared.  This is a real addiction and should be treated as much. It has created physical changes in your mind and recovering involves rewirering your nerveways and will take a lot of time. Most rebooters set 90 days as their reboot goal but you shouldn't be surprised if it takes more time (in some cases it can take over a year). It doesn't sound like your case is the worst if you only just had PIED and because you are so young.

The best tip you can get is educate yourself about the addiciton so you know what to expect. This is probably going to be by far the hardest thing you have ever done and maybe ever will do in your life. A lot of people have a very hard time quitting this addiction and struggle with it for years. The most important thing is dedication. By far the best thing you can do for yourself is to come to termes with yourself that you can never watch porn again. I know that sounds rough especially since  it's a pretty significant aspect of a teenagers life and might create a certain distance between you and your peers but there is a reason why moderation doesn't work for an addict. Your porn use has created new, altered brainways and those brainpaths are not gonna go away once you quit. They will always be there. The only thing you can do is circumvent them by creating and recreating new pathways. But that also mean that if (or when) you relapse, you will set off those same pathways and spiral back down into the same addiction and practically ruin or set you on path to ruin the progress you have made. It doesn't take a lot of relapsing to whipe out a ton of progress.

Once you quit it will most likely start to effect your energy level and your mood. Don't freak out if you suddenly have a hard time doing anything. This is called the flatline and will pass eventually. The only thing you can do is ride it out or try to improve your situation by exercising, meditating, doing yoga or the like (these has all been proven to help on energylevels and focussed attention which is also a thing you will lack during the flatline).

Another thing you are gonna experience is a desire to test yourself by watching porn. Be aware that this is how your mind tries to trick you to get you to watch porn. Your mind is convinced that porn is absolutely essential for you, the abosulte epitome of existence and will send you a lot of impulses and rationalisations in an attempt to get you to watch it again. This is gonna manifest itself in obsessive thinking and hightened cravings. You will feel stronger urges to give in than you have ever felt. An absolutely essential part of rebooting is being prepared to tackle these thoughts and cravings. It will be intense but seem managable to control the first times you get past them but just remember that you have to repeat that everyday for a long time before they weaken and eventually finally leave you alone. This is why addiction is such a struggle. It's not the act of saying no that is hard but the endless amounts of time you have to do it over and over again, even in times where you might feel depressed or anxious and in need for a quick release.

Some of the general tips are:
- Write down why you want to quit porn. It's really beneficial to have to keep reminding yourself why you need to quit. Once the cravings and desires hit, you shouldn't be surprised if they almost completely push these rational thoughts out of your mind.
- Install a porn blocker. People recommend K9
- Stay away from all stimuli. It's called the no arousal method. Basically you stay away from all imagery, including pictures of hot girls on facebook and even thoughts and fantasies! Once you get triggered it will just escalate. So many of the succes stories involves using this method.

Again I want to stress that this is going to be difficult and will probaly require way more attention and commitment than you might think. But it is possible. It is just hard as fuck. If you have further questions or want tips on how to cope with the rebooting/withdrawal period don't hold yourself back.

Anyways, good luck!
