Stop all dopamine stimulus during reboot?

Has anyone or does anyway suggest to avoid all sources of dopamine stimulus during a reboot, since the whole issue with pied is down to the desensitization of the dopamine receptors and lower dopamine levels?

Do people also cut out:- alcohol, caffiene, smart phones, social media, sugary foods etc etc?

That is basically fasting. I don't know about the sugary foods but i think anything is worth cutting out if it used as way to distract you from the real feelings and emotions that come with life. So if you replace porn with games you might still have a problem just a different kind or probably the same I don't know for sure these are just my own opinions.Alcohol might lead to PMO if you are the type that gets aroused because of alcohol so its best to lay it off but if not why deny the feeling of being happy and just enjoy leave it at that and continue with life. Again if used as a substitute you have another forum to sign up on very soon. Cheers.
 
"Dopamine fasts" like this have become popular recently, where you abstain from things like TV, cell phone, and even food for 24 hours at a time. I haven't tried one, and AFAIK the research hasn't said much on it, but people are raving about it.
