60+ days in and still complete flatline

Hello. After failing to get an erection hard enough to have sex with about 2-3 women I realized Internet porn was ruining my life. I'm sure many have been there. It was just heartbreaking and embarrassing when your member doesn't respond and you're left trying to an give some excuse to the Woman.

February 1st 2019, I finally decided enough was enough. It was either quit porn or never have real sex again. I went from masturbating 1-3 times daily to online porn to quitting cold turkey.

Day 1-7: This was easily the hardest. My mind just craved porn however I withstood it.

After the first week my dick just died and has been in a complete flatline since then. Of course I'm worried and I often think is it still working. I have absolutely no cravings for porn anymore. Summer is approaching and I'm just hoping by June or July my libido will return so I can have healthy relationships with Women  :'(

Hi PrayingForCure,

you're on the right path and I'm sure, you'll be able to recover even though I don't know anything about your history with porn as you didn't write anything about it. But 60 days is a great start and a very good foundation. Don't trouble yourself about THIS spring or THIS summer, you can date in autumn and winter as well ;) The most important thing is to recover in general.

Take care!

Thank you Pete. I'm 33, I watched Internet porn since a teen but foolishly got hooked on it these last 5 years and that's when the problems really began. Great forums, so nice to know you are not alone. I read through your journal earlier and it seems like things are working for you and that you are almost restored!

PrayingForCure.  Ya man. Solid foundation for sure. Just keep going and don't look back. It's not worth it at all. I'm 36. Also started when I was a teen and finally am now catching on to how important and real all this is.  I've known it's a problem for quite some time now (few years) and have tried to stop several times but have found myself back to square 1 each time with the same issues.  The science behind all of this is absolutely astonishing. I just finished reading "The Porn Myth" today actually.  It's a pretty interesting look into the world of pornography, and then the book finishes off with a lot of unbelievable studies and statistics that would blow your mind.  PMO is just SO easy. It's the easy way out.  The things that we truly want in our lives aren't easy. Self discipline and standards are essential.
Just wanted to write you so you know someone else has your back on this. Keep going. It's going to pay off. Stay persistent and be patient and you will slowly shift into being the person that you want to be.

Thanks Kenny. Yeah, I'm never going back. It's stolen too many years of my life. Older generations survived just fine without getting hooked on internet porn. The flatline is just very depressing and worrying but I will not fall in to that "trap" to test if it still works. I've read many making that mistake!

I want to be attracted to real girls again, not these flawless perfect porn girls.

Day 89: I'm finally starting to see the light. After being in flatline for basically 80 days straight I've had 3 very vivid sex dreams and woken up with morning wood multiple times the last week. I still have a long road ahead but in the right direction!

Hopefully this works as a little motivation for people. Don't break the flatline, your dick still works. Your brain is rewiring.

Haha, that's a funny coincidence: My flatline ended with a wet dream and ever since I've never had a flatline again. Keep at it!
