K9 is gone and there is no alternative in sight

As some of you probably already know, K9 Web Protection was bought by Symantec?, and is therefore not available anymore. Plus, even if you have it already downloaded, they made an uninstall tool available (that doesn't require a password) which therefore the whole thing now completely useless.

The problem is, K9 was my only way to successfully avoid watching (and masturbating) to porn. I used to create a long password for admin panel, and then threw it away (or write it down on a paper and put it in some place where I would not bother going everytime I had a urge to watch porn). I managed to stay away for porn 3 or 4 months the beginning of this year, and began to notice some very positive changes in my ED condition.  ?????????

Unfortunately this is now all gone. Symantec is now advertising for a $59.99  Norton Antivirus tool which supposedly includes a parental control similar to K9. I will obviously not purchase this.

Hi Darkness, don't worry, you have some options...

I use this 2 programs together and trust me, you will no be able to watch porn again on your computer...

Cold Turkey https://getdpd.com/cart/hoplink/20477?referrer=1cawn1rk5ksgsw4w with this software you will be able to block the access to a lot of things, windows apps, websites and a lot, they have a free and paid version.

With the pro version you will be able to block the entire internet access for defined hours (like nights), for dates (when you usually stay alone in home) and a lot of options.

Home Guard http://veridium.net They have a free 14 days trial that will let you know if it works for you or not. With this software you will be able to block adult searches, access to web categories, to keywords, dates, hours, programs, and a lot of choices...

Trust me friend, you will no be able to watch porn again.

Hi, I stopped using k9 a couple years ago because of how easy it was to bypass. If self control is an issue I highly recommend pluckeye. Pluckeye is free and uses a delay system that makes it impossible to remove until whatever delay you've set passes. Pluckeye without any modifications blocks all images on the internet. I use it with pluckeye level 2 which blocks all browsers other than those that support pluckeye. Whitelisting and black listing are supporting as are a variety of command lines that can block or allow certain websites and programs temporarily or not. Hope this helps you on your journey!

Edit : cold turkey works.

It is just a little bit unclear that you have to set up a timer to block certain websites. I was assuming that it automatically blocked everything you told it to block.
But you have to tell it for how long you want to block them websites.
