so I am on day 66 of hardmode and after being a flatline the majority of it...my libido is back for sure. I can resist the urges to PMO (in fact been P free for over 90 days), but everything has become so sensitive that I honestly have a legitimate fear I may O just in a car ride...or even just walking without an erection without any sexual thoughts. If this happens, will this hurt my progress? Anyone have any similar experiences during their reboot?

When my libido came back, I MO'd and it didn't affect me at all. You are at the point where you can start rewiring and any O's will not hurt your progress

and you are recovering from PIED?

Thanks, relief to hear. I am going to try my best to go the hard 90 without o though.

Getting an orgasm, whether with a partner or by accident is not a problem. If you are worried about PE then I suggest reading up on Kegels and especially reverse Kegels.

Honestly, this sounds like a pretty good problem to have! I would highly advise trying to test your libido with a partner and see how it responds/works.

There is nothing inherently wrong with MO'ing without porn. Some people find that it stalls their recovery if they do it too soon, but that's an experiment we all have to conduct for ourselves in our reboots.

I always thought an O set back rebooting. Maybe that is only during the initial stages? Almost at day 70!!!

Well there is some disagreement over this I suppose.
We all agree that PMO and MO(at least with porn fantasy) is not a good route to go down. Whether MO'ing with normal fantasies is bad or not is up for discussion. Orgasming with a real life person is generally considered good because it helps us rewire our brains to what they are supposed to be turned on by.

The only true, steadfast rule of rebooting is NO PORN. There have been individuals who have recovered with sporadic MO sessions in there reboot. However, I will say that a growing majority of people find they need to stay away from all orgasms until their erections respond properly....but, again, not everyone! It's up for you to discover what works best for your recovery.

Gambit, this is exactly what was happening to me.

I was hardmode for 2 months, then I couldn't function any longer.  Constant boners, I was almost looking forward to the next flatline just to function.  I ended up just MOing, no fantasy no porn, very SLOW and gentle.

I have no idea if this set me back or not.  It doesn't feel like it at all though.

Just don't overdo it!!! Only one time MO.. don't MO 2-3 times in a night.  JUST ONCE! then back to hardmode.

Yes, I am getting hard occasionally.  which never happened before.  I think of porn almost never, and when I do I can quickly get it out of my mind no issue.  Flatlines come and go, but I actually enjoy them because I'm so much more productive in life when they occur! haha  It's reassuring knowing that this happens to EVERYONE so I don't really worry much.  I do not feel MO has set me back, but this is a personal feeling.  I think it's all about perspective.  If you feel it will set you back, then it will and I would avoid it if I were you.  If you feel you've reached a state where you can comfortably MO without feeling guilty or that it might bring you back to your old ways, then I don't see the harm.  That make sense?  These are really just my opinions I've been going through this just as long as you, so my knowledge is that of yours. :)

Thanks for the advice you are doing great on your reboot!

I am going to try to hold onff on the O. I rarely have thoughts of porn anymore and most of my sexual thoughts are of past gfs or women I am dating which is nice. The reason I am going to hold off because in my first month pf "softmode" I thought I had cured mysef of ED after just one month but then I MOD 3 times in one day and basically sent myself int oa flatline and my ED def returned. So now that I am on almost day 70 of hardmode I want to maximize my chances of breaking this ED on its back for good on this hardmode drive. If I end up bursting what can you do. I have read many success stories involving wet dreams occurring during hardmode so it is all gravy I guess. stay strong@!

Is 90 days a minimum or something like that?  I see so many guys having that as a goal, is there a special reason for that?  Thanks.

No, there really is no special reason for having 90 days without orgasm. Obviously, quitting porn for life is a must. But in terms of navigating orgasms and masturbation in the reboot, people seem to choose 90 days because orgasms can initially stall the reboot in early stages, and 90 days is a fairly substantial time to rest the brain from it. Even though it is arbitrary, I like the idea of going 90 days without orgasm in the beginning! I think it can be very beneficial.

I should add a little caveat here, though. There is definitely nothing wrong with masturbating to orgasm. It's not a relapse, and it's not contradictory to a reboot at all. However, some people find that their reboots progress faster if they abstain from orgasms for a short duration of time...and, if it's manageable to the individual, I think it's great idea to start a reboot with this no orgasm streak.
