Food tips for recovery

Hi everybody!
I am new here, but I have been reading and rebooting for something like 10 months. Anyway, I thought I should share some nutritional tips for both physical (penile health, blood flow) and brain health (dopamine etc).

First, I agree that number 1 most important thing is to stop watching porn, masturbating (at least too much) and to rewire with someone special.
But the foods you eat can have a tremendous effect to your overall healthbeing, for both good and bad.

First of all, let's go to basics. Avoid eating too much processed food like McDonalds and those cheap prepared meals from store that contains a little nutritional value. Sugar, candy, chocolate, donuts and sodas give you that nice dopamine hit but in the long run you are messing with your brain and body. Ofcourse, a little bit of good like every two weeks when you go watch movies or something is okay, as long as you dont overdo it. But these things you already knew.

What your diet should be based on is; greens like salads, vegetables and some fruits; good fats as olive oil, fish oil and peanuts, and things like eggs, chicken, sweet potatoes, fish and so on.
Whats great about salads like spinach, kale, rucola (rocket) is that they contain a s**tload of nitrates. Nitrates found in green natural food is great for you. Why?
Because they turn into nitric oxide and nitric oxide makes your veins dilate, so that blood can flow more easily. This is something that makes your body work better, helps you with excercise because blood flow is better, and of course helps erections and keeps penile health good.  Foods that are ridicilously high in nitrates are rocket or rucola, beetroot and spinach. Just try eating a bowl of rucola and your ears start feeling warm and tingly because of the bloodflow.
One thing worth trying is eating 2-3 raw garlic cloves with hefty amount of vitamin C everyday. Researchers found out that it tripled nitric oxide production, and garlic is very healthy as it is. I rwally noticed the pump in the gym when trying this. The smell on the other hand might consern your girlfriend if you have one.  ;D

Then the good fats. Fish oil, containing omega 3 fatty acids, is one of the best things you can eat. It fights inflammation, helps with vascular and heart health, and promotes BRAIN HEALTH. If it even helps with someone with brain injury, just imagine what it could do to us. It repairs brain and so can only do good when rebooting. It also helps with depression and anxiety.
Also olive oil is a great source of fat. Peanuts contain excellent ratio of different fats and minerals, so consider adding them to your diet as well.
One easy way to get both greens, oils, vitamins and flavonoids is to make a green salad with kale, rucola, raw or cooked onion, lots of olive oil and cashew nuts. It is delicious AND healthy!

You might find often on different forums that you need to supplement with tyrosine or tryptophan or something in order to boost dopamine. That is rarely true, as you get TONS of tyrosine from western diet including meats and eggs. What promotes healthy dopamine functioning is EXCERCISE, SLEEP, SOCIALIZING and healthy diet with fish oils and such.

There is one other thing I strongly urge everyone to do some searching and investigating. INTERMITTENT FASTING is an eating style where you, for example, only drink water and tea or whatever with no calories until you start eating in say, 4 PM and stop eating in the evening. Then repeat. This has some interesting health benefits, such as hormonal, fat burning, and DOPAMINE AND INSULIN RECEPTOR UPREGULATING properties. Fasting induces a production of BDNF, which repairs neural cells and protects from Alzheimers etc. and grows new neurons such as dopamine receptors.
And Intermittent Fasting feels great!
Other things that make the body produce more BDNF are fish oil and excercise.

So here are some basics, hope you try some of them in your daily life and see improvements!
I'll post some helpful links here:

I eat lots of nuts,, chicken, meat, fish whenever it is cheap, protein powder, salads, home made real food(all kinds, its so delicous and healthy to cook your own foods), hmm what else.. olive oil, fish oil etc. Buy REAL food and make your own, its healthier than buying those crappy ready-to-eat "meals" from market.

I have not found a way to completely hide it ;D try some tips found on the internet, maybe you will find what helps you. Besides of course making your friends/girlfriend/wife eat garlic also, so they get used to the smell. But garlic indeed is very healthy, its worth supplementing of. And there are some odorless garlic supplements that work, search for "anabolic men garlic + vitamin C" to find what tablets are recommended (not all garlic pills work).

Regarding fish oil...I was taking fish oil pills until there was a big thing in the media about studies that found taking fish oil increases your chances of getting prostate cancer. I don't know what to believe anymore as I am suspicious that these studies are bunk, part of the media's agenda to scare the public for whatever reason. I did get away from taking them, though. So what it the truth about fish oil? If it works without the side effects I would get back on them. Thanks.

Well the fact is that fish IS healthy, and if fish oil comes with one or two side effects (i wouldnt believe 100% in thesestudies anyway) then positive effects still outmatch the negative. So I think you can use it if you want.
