Penis desensitisation, the only symptom

Hi,

I'm 27, been fapping for 14 years, and I really enjoy watching porn (I bet I could be one of the best adult movie directors haha). In my teenage years I fapped around 10 times per week, in my 20s around 3-4 times per week (but longer sessions, 1-3 hours with one ejaculation, a lot of edging). Sometimes I surf for porn just out of curiosity of finding some sexy scenes and movies... so I'm definitely addicted I think.

But my only symptom is desensitised penis. I have never experienced headaches, nausea, tiredness,... because of porn. I am very healthy, do sports, and I am the most outgoing person in my group of friends.
I can hold a strong erection during BJ although I don't really feel a lot, during sex my erection is at about 70% (maybe just the thought of having sex and visual stimulation keep me up). My libido hasn't changed, I'm quite horny guy.

I haven't tried yet, but due to desensitisation probably I wouldn't be able to cum inside of vagina.

The weird thing is lately whenever I masturbate and there is something that really turns me on in porn video, I've been able to ejaculate without stroking. Like my brain is doing all the work.

Lack of sensation really bothers me. Also I don't understand why my friends haven't got that problem? And some of them masturbated, and still do, a lot more often, like 3-6 times a day.

What do you think, and will reboot help me get back sensation? Today is my 16th no fap day, and I think I can notice a tiny tiny improvement. I've also started taking zinc, alpha lipoic acid and acetyl l carnitine supplements, and putting vitamin E oil on my penis.

Thanks guys.

Yup, no porn.

Last month I reached 20 days, but then I touched myself a little while looking at some hot pics and I orgasmed in like 15 seconds. So now, not even a glimpse.

To me this definitely sounds like porn is causing your desensitization. Although you aren't a super extreme case of porn addiction, your symptoms aren't very extreme either...so that's probably why you have only experienced sexual desensitization and not the other symptoms. The reason why some people get PIED and others don't is unknown, but that sort of "some people get, some people don't" phenomenon is present in lot of other medical conditions. Think about smoking cigarettes - it doesn't guarantee you get lung cancer, it just greatly increases the chances. Some people smoke their entire lives and never get lung cancer! It's the same thing with pornography use - it just increases your odds of experiencing desensitization and erectile dysfunction, but doesn't necessarily guarantee everybody gets PIED. The best thing you can do now is to commit to quitting porn and begin rebooting! I'm almost 100% that this will solve your desensitization issues.

Thanks, you just increased my motivation. Damn that porn, when something is too good to be true, probably is.

I am also taking Propecia now for around 2 years, well I stopped a week ago to take a break. I saw people on hairless forums claiming that propecia or finasteride could be the reason for desensitisation. Although there aren't many cases...so I don't know.

I know it differs from person to person, but max how much time can it take to regain the sensation? With strict no fap no porn lifestyle, could it be also as long as 1 year?

Is it ok to have sex and if yes, does it have to be gentle?

It is ok to have sex but dont force it, meaning if you cant get it up or cant get an orgasm without resorting to masturbation, better go without either and just enjoy the cuddling/kissing and focus on your partner.

haha ok :)

I want the sensitivity to return so much, I want to feel the unbearable tingling when in contact with shower stream.

I don't understand why I didn't notice that problem before. Last time i remember the tingling of the shower stream was when I was around 18 probably, but desensitisation was probably around for years now..

I hate the fact that I get real hard just by touching my penis with a paper strip, no masturbation, no fantasy and no porn, even though the sensitivity is so low. Majority of my glans are dead to a soft delicate touch...

Im so worried that sensation will never return.

I think I've got a chance to invite a girl over, but I'm kinda hesitating because I'm afraid that if it will lead to sex ,the sensation still won't be present, or I will ruin my progress. What to do?

If the sensation isnt present, make it all about the girl. Give her the best time she has ever had, luckily we have other bodyparts than our penis :)
It will not ruin your progress although if you dwell on it too much it might further annoy you (which can be a problem in itself) but if you are willing to accept the chance of "defeat" and make the best of the night if it happens then it can only be a success.
Failure in this case is not you not having full sensation, it is you letting it get to you.

You're right, thinking about the problem can bring other problems, which I didn't have before.

I've just asked her out! :)

Going great mate. Just keep your eye on the reward! The prize beats the sexual demise
