Hey guys. I am starting out my reboot. I know that pied can get cured by abstinence. But is it possible to cure PE just by a reboot too? This thing is driving me crazy

I definitely believe the PE can be created by habitual pornography use. Ironically, I found my PE improved the best when I abstained from all orgasms for 50+ days. This seems kind of backwards (because you would assume your sensitivity would be off the charts after 50 days), but think about the way us addicts masturbated to porn...we often did it fast, to the perfect clip, and sometimes (for some us) we couldn't even get entirely hard and had to cum right when we did. Even if this doesn't accurately describe you, I still believe that it can help you to avoid orgasms for a period of time.

If I'm correct, it's also because some people are afraid of getting caught, therefor just try to make it quick.

Yeah, that definitely is some people's experiences, too. I did that once or twice during my career.  ::)

So do you think PE can be cured by abstaining from pmo for like 180+ days?

Most definitely! Even though it's not intuitive, I think that quitting PMO can actually help cure PE for many addicts who suffer from it. Keep pushing forward!

Hey fugu,

I would take the advantage of this thread to discuss the issue a bit more.

Would you be inclined to share your experience of PE and overcoming it?

I still have a problem with PE. I am now in my renewed effort of a true and sincere reboot and I hope that this will bring the expected fruit. I read through testimonies of many guys, including the ones at the YourBrainRebalanced Forum and they are giving a lot of hope.

My PE problem was surely aggravated by the fact the the reboot that I started 4 years ago has been screwed in the meantime and I went back to dopamine kicks. But I actually do remember that I had periods - when the reboot was still holding - where PE was much better.

How it has developed on your side?

J.

For me, I went 9 months no PMO and then met my girlfriend. I had zero orgasms during this time to anything. Safe to say that my penis was highly sensitive.  :p I noticed though that the more orgasm I had with her, the more my PE was getting worse. I also was definitely not fully rebooted during this time (erections were still sluggish).

I still sometimes suffer from PE, but it has improved drastically and I have taken steps forward with it. The steps that felt "permanent" all seemed to happen on long no orgasm streaks (which seems so counter intuitive). I found during these streaks my orgasms were simply easier to control - I was more into the sex and also more relaxed.

I'll follow up with my post yesterday and add that it's not a bad idea couple rebooting and long no orgasm streaks with some reading on PE. There's some good books out there that encourage mindfulness and other techniques that help with PE. While these books aren't targeted to porn addicts experiencing PE, some of the techniques can still be pretty useful.

Hey fugu,

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I took note of the idea of long streak without orgasm.

Are there any particular books on the topic that you can recommend?

Someone recommended a few on my journal on the website YourBrainRebalanced...I'll check it out!

So when one is fully cured of PIED (when you can masturbate with no thought) would it be a good idea to masturbate and not cum quickly like i would do that if i hear someone coming or something/not edge just to cure our ejaculation problem just by doing it not rushed and by not edging. I personally used to precum then as i started edging more my ejaculation became delayed.
