Was cured but want to stop again

Hi All,

I'd like to share my story with you, hope it will not be too long. I'm now 26.

I was addicted in 2016 and 2017 i PMO'd too much, sometimes a few hours a day, but that time i had a gf and it didnt really change anything in our sexual life.
We broke up in Feb 2017 and my addiction became even worse. Believe me or not i felt like human wreck, nothing was good that time. In Apr'17 i met a new gf but i turned out that PMO + stress with new sex partner lead to ED. I googled it  and i found yourbrainonporn, and I knew what just happened, and I knew what to do.

And for a couple of months i struggled super hard with that matter. Begginers know how it is, horrible feeling as my partner was super pretty but i was not able to have ANY sexual stimulation.
We sometimes had sex but i didnt really fell it, i just felt anxiety and sex wasnt satisfying.

From Feb-Sep I did a lot of good streaks which were probably 25 days the best and 7 days was like normal. I focused on gym and work that time just to make myself busy.

In sep i decided to go for hard mode and i lasted for around 50 days and then bam! sex begun to be great!
And from that time finally felt like im getting cured.

I almost did not do any PMO in 2018, but sometimes i broke my rule(maybe once or twice a month). More often i just O during shower if i had a bad day.
I dont think porn addiction is a problem for me now, and my doctor said the same to me.

Now i dont feel bad, i have morning woods, no sex problem, stimulation is good even with new partners (sometimes maybe too much stress), all seems to be good and brain looks to be close to be rewired, but i think i can do more and be better.

I want to do no PMO challenge starting from today for at least 90 days. Hope you can help me out guys i know it is hard but i think benefits can be super strong and can lead to ever better sex.
My last streaks:

17th Aug - 8th Sep - 23 days no PMO
8th Sep  - 12th Sep - 4 days no PMO
12th - 14th - 2 days no PMO

Will keep you updated about it. Lets do it!

0/90 :)

Hi all,

2/90

Its good, we were with my friends in a different city for a trip. No significant urges. Had a party on friday and a lot of sightseeing on saturday and sunday.

Cheers :)

I like that you write "3/90" instead of "Day 3" as I and others do, it helps thinking about the end goal and not only the progress.

I've experienced similar things: PIED, anxiety, feeling like human wreck... Wish you all the best. :)

Thanks mate!

Everything going smoothly to the goal. Have a meeting with my friends this evening. :)

Core thing is to keep yourself busy doing productive things and aroud yourself with good people. Find a hobby/job/and spend good quality time doing this.

Stay positive!!

Sounds pretty good to me!
Thats correct, keeping busy is of utmost importance. Do your hobbies but immerse yourself fully in them. Or even find a new hobby and immerse the shit out of yourself in that. Within reason of course, you know, if its a hobby that may be detremental to your recovery it would have a negative effect.
Do something creative like learn a new instrument or challenge youself with a new language. But keep yourself engaged whatever it is that you do. And remember: Idol hands are the devils fap things!

Like Kopp said, I think it?s a great idea putting your streak and goal together the way you do. It?s almost like a progress bar in a video game where you level up. Once you achieve 90 days you can level up to 90/120 and then 120/180 and so on. I may steal that idea from you to keep a goal and make my progress seem more tangible.

Keep it up. I like that you are doing new things outside of your comfort zone. This is key to personal growth and certainly will keep you fulfilled. I?ll be watching your journal.

Thank you all for your comments those are really helpful.

I believe its super important to have scalable goals.
Very often either in my work or life if i set up a goal that is super complicated i feel dissatisfied because it looks to be never ending.
Like you want to build a space shuttle. Its good to split your goals to parts starting from very basic elements.

One of my hobbies is music making. But im not really good at it yet. Anyways im happy about everything i learn even if its a very basic thing.

Cheers guys!
