been off instagram for over a month now and facebook for about couple of years... i feel more happy and alive if that makes sense...  been gyming for 2 years and making lots of gainz and progress to give me a bit more confidence in myself not having social media people might class me as a freak but i don't need social approval or to meet people that's what going out and talking to new people and girls is about.. i'm about nearly 2 years porn free now and couldn't be happier. feel my brain still needs many more years to heal but it's fantastic not having social media i only use twitter for education purposes and other important things....

That sound great, im thinking about doing the same or at least extremely minimize my usage of social media, and focus more on other aspects of my life. Keep up the good work.

Yep, that has been my experience too (sans the rebooting from PMO part, which unfortunately I am still working on).  Giving up Social Media has been great for me.  Now I have to give up Youtube!!!

I gave up Facebook a few days into my last reboot. also gave up posting on a music website I'd been regularly posting on. It's made a huge difference to my reboot.

My vice was chat rooms as well as porn, and social media fed into my desire to be liked and validated. It was less about the visual and more about feeling some kind of connection... I was gripped.

Anyway it's been a big help to ditch the social media as part of my reboot. I still read threads on Twitter but I don't post. And I have given up Facebook entirely :)

I have been into self knowledge practices for the last few months, and I automatically dropped facebook after years trying to stop using it, and now I'm using less and less Instagram...I feel the same way as you do, it's great, and I'm not comparing myself with others anymore, so my self confidence is better too!
