Gary Wilson wins legal victories against Nicole Prause?s efforts to silence him

After over 7 years of Prause defaming and harassing me (and many others) she tried to silence me with a frivolous, lie-filled restraining order (filed in LA court). This led to me filing an anti-SLAPP suit against Prause. From our short press release:

Best-selling author and public health advocate Gary Wilson has won a legal victory against sexology researcher and pornography proponent Nicole Prause. On August 6, the Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled that Prause?s attempt to obtain a restraining order against Wilson constituted a frivolous and illegal ?strategic lawsuit against public participation? (commonly called a ?SLAPP suit?). In essence, the Court found that Prause abused the restraining order process to bully Wilson into silence and undercut his rights to free speech. By law, the SLAPP ruling obligates Prause to pay Wilson?s attorney fees.

Dealing with over 7 years of relentless harassment, defamation and cyberstalking by Prause has been very stressful.

She continues to defame & harass me, and many others - even those who have filed defamation lawsuits against her. For example, she continues to defame and cyberstalk Alex Rhodes and Don Hilton, even though both have filed lawsuits in federal court. Links to info on their lawsuits:

You see, Prause hasn't paid a dime in legal fees in either defamation suit because her insurance company is footing the bill. She can go along defaming anyone she pleases with impunity, because if you file a suit against her it may cost you several hundred thousand dollars, but it costs her nothing in legal fees.

My Anti-SLAPP suit wasn't covered by her insurance company because she initiated legal action by attempting to obtain a restraining order (which she could file for free, and represent herself). However I countered with an anti-SLAPP, which forced her to hire counsel (I doubt her legal fees amounted to all that much).

Harasser Nicole Prause filed a second frivolous legal proceeding against me in December, 2020 for alleged defamation. At a hearing on January 22, 2021 an Oregon court ruled in my favor and charged Prause with costs and an additional penalty. This failed effort was one of a dozen lawsuits Prause publicly threatened and/or filed in the previous months. After years of malicious reporting, she has escalated to threats of actual lawsuits to try to silence those who reveal her close ties to the porn industry and her malicious conduct, or who have made sworn statements in the 3 defamation suits currently active against her.

Gary Wilson, man, this makes me so angry at this Prause woman who is ruining lives.
