How long before wife/girlfriend trusts again?

I have 45 days no porn.I'm 61 years old and have been addicted for over 45 years.My wife found me out,and it's not the end of the world.She is very hurt though,and thinks I can't be trusted.How long will that last I wonder? How to bring sex back is another question I have.Any feedback would be helpful.

First of all, welcome to this forum. It's a great thing you've decided to come here and to face your addicton.


About the situation with your wife; it is as Joe describes. It depends on a lot of factors.
Besides that its also person-dependent.

As you can imagine that hiding this addiction for 45 years is quite a shock for her. But, the question for you is; did your P addiction every interfere with your life/marriage/work? Did i it have such a profound influence on your life that once it would be gone your wife would notice the difference? Does your wife even know you without the addiction?


They are a lot of questions, but maybe they can help you understand her. I suggest you talk a lot with your wife. Getting sex back might be secundary to answerering these questions and talking with your wife

I hope that you will post here more often. I hope you will also read our personal topics and maybe the partners of addicts section. This will provide an insight into the other side of the curtain so to speak
