2nd Attempt at Reboot

My first attempt at a reboot lasted 1 month. I felt changes in the way I interacted with people; especially women. Confidence, more energetic and, above all, less socially awkward. Then, on one particular day I had a sudden urge to look at porn; and then BOOM, PMO.  :(

After the relapse I went on a 1 month binge, losing all confidence and self-esteem that I gained during that one month of abstaining from PMO.

I am three days in to my 2nd attempt at a reboot, my goal is to not PMO for 2 months and then aim for 90 days.

What techniques or ideas can you provide for me and/or anyone attempting another reboot and sticking to it for life?

Cheers!

Hey. I'm 74 days and planning on no P for life. After finding out how harmful it is, I want nothing to do with it.

Im not sure I have a technique. I was so filled with anger when I found out that so many of my problems were due to it that my urges were easily resisted. Now, I rarely even have them. I've taken the newfound energy and put it into other areas of my life. I go out more, get involved more in playing sports, and also into thinking about what I'd like to do for a date with a new girl in my life that has me very excited.

May be the best advice I can give is to think about what you WANT. Not an urge or a feeling. Really use your brain. What interests you that could use up the time you previously spent on PMO? An hour a day? How about taking up a martial art? Ever wanted to go to the gym more? Well now you have a hole in your schedule. I think that actively planning time that would otherwise be spent empty takes away chances for relapse, and when you focus on you rather than the desires of an addicted brain, you have the ability to change your habits and make this a lot easier.

Treat the relapse as a learning experience.  What did you learn from it?  How can you carry that forward so you do not relapse again?

I think just seeing the contrast between a porn brain and a clear brain will help you tremendously this time around and help propel you even further.

Someone suggested me or someone on YOUTUBE said to Clap every time you feel an urge.. Tense your muscles really tight and then clap and only focus on the clap and tension of muscles and relax your brain and image yourself throwing that thought into a trash bin.

All the tips given were good but I Bibity hit it on the head.  The relapse gave you a comparison of the feeling your month PM free gave you and the feeling your binge gave you, now you've experienced both and I bet we know which way you go. As the instructors tell you,"Don't beat yourself up" just continue your healing.

I'm near the one month mark, and yesterday I nearly lost it.
It's hard to keep going... but doable.
