University Reboot

Hey there,

I am in my last semester of university with a heavy workload. I understand that porn is the easy way out for when it comes to dealing with stress/emotions/rationalization of bad habits. But, there is a part of me that wonders if I should temporarily ease off my focus with rebooting (these days is been roughly 1 week cycles). Does anybody have some advice for rebooting during school? Any information would be appreciated. Cheers.

Sure, I definitely recommend rebooting! Overtime you will feel a lot better and definetly enjoy university more and have more opportunities. If you haven't already watched them. Gabe's videos can be a good start:

The book "Your brain on porn" is another. I also personally am a HUGE fan of the Smart recovery workbook https://shop.smartrecovery.org/product/books/smart-recovery-handbook-3rd-edition/
It is meant for any addiction but is all science based and has lots of tools and strategies to avoid your addictive behaviour.

I also recommend just consistently posting here... If you work at reboot it and post here consistently for awhile you'll almost certainly make progress.

Hey, this is definitely the place to get the kind of help you're looking for!

I know for me, writing out a schedule for each day is super helpful. It helps me make sure I'm getting everything for school done, and it helps me make sure that there isn't any time left in my day for porn. Setting priorities and going through the day with purpose is a big help.

Consistent posting here is also huge. This is a great place to get ideas from other guys here and to get your own thoughts out of your head so that you can deal with them more objectively
