SEVERE PIED RECOVERY

Can anyone who ever recovered from SEVERE PIED give an idea of their recovery process, like how long it took and tips to successfully reboot ?

Read the success stories on this forum.

As for how long it will take ....

There is now way of knowing. You just need to commit to eliminating porn from your life, stop (or drastically reduce) masturbating during your reboot and avoid fantasising about porn until you're healed. I'm almost 7 months into my reboot and I'm not healed. I just have to keep going until I am!

Good luck and stay strong!

Mousemat Severe PIED is different to regular pied as you are forced into quitting because you no longer get horny from porn.
Even porn cant get you hard.

Hey man. I had your definition of "severe pied" about a year and 3 months ago. In my experience, progress is hard to track without having a partner to be intimate with. Not saying that a partner is necessary to recover but... That was the first sign of recovery in my case. I was confident about feeling always functional at around month 7. Sensitivity without a partner came way later for me - and i still have bad days tbh. Obviously this varies from case to case. Don't burn out. It's really difficult sometimes but it is manageable. Hang in there!

As a recent pied and de healed i have tips for you.
Althought my erection quality varies depending in positions
I would consider myself healed with 85-100% erection depending for a couple minutes.
Yesterday i got my first orgasm in piv-sex.

So what helped me.I got a girlfriend understaning my problem willing to help.
Nutrition and exercise
Hardmode for a couple periods of days (i got some relapses in my way to recovery until the latest months to my recovery) My record is 28days but i did that like 5-6 times
Patience
Meditation
Willingness

Master tip:Its crucial to know that the addiction itself alone it cant be healed.
You need willingness to do that. You need passion. You need to see what you really need in life.Find what you like most, something that will excite you and make your productivity better.
For example finding my interests in new studies for marketing were for me.

There is no shortcut.Go study some books.
-The brain that changes itself
-The willingpower instict

Timing is crucial.Relapse are in game.Vision must be there too and never lost your faith.
Recovery will be occur
Anything you need im here, ask me

Good luck and remember to improve your life overall :)

I am 112 days into my reboot. No pmo, hardmode.  Have had a lot of wet dreams. Morning wood comes back more than it use to.  But i am in a flatiline now. I cant even get hard to pron or the real thing before instarted my reboot. I hope a year will clean me up.

No evidence in what i will say right now just personal experience.
You can recover faster if you rewire you brain with a partner.
In my opinion it is crucial. To me it was as i recovered pied in 7 months of many relapses between.
Althought orgasms from my gf (not intercourse) used to set me back (brain fog, flatline etc)
after a period of hardmode 30days max (did that like 6-7times) we tried sex and it was lame.
But as we were having more sex and we were more into intercourse things were getting right.
Im not recovered yet.I would concider my pied 70% healed and my addiction like 60-70%.
But the truth is..you cant go 0 to100 if you are virgin and on the way to heal a 10+ year addiction.
Sadly i suffered to do this.I still do to this day, but when im having sex with my gf i realise that the whole addiction is a mind's lie and nothing to sacrifice you for this.

I wish luck to everyone struggling with addictions and im willing to help everyone get over this..
Together we stand

I had severe DE all my life and was able to beat it this year. I hate to say 'cured' because I think its possible to slip back into PIED. The point being, is I also had many relapses, and never built up significant amounts of clean time. However, my P viewing was greatly reduced compared to how much I used to view since puberty.

Mmmmmmm.... the fact that looking at pixels on a screen has caused such a monumental fuck up in your brain is pretty severe in itself. But the depth of the porn abuse does have an effect on the recovery time. Everyone is different so it might be a good idea not to compare to others just now.
Just focus on your own reboot and know that this is the only way to get better, no matter how you compare to others

I have PIED for the past 3 years after PMOing daily for 9 years. I'm 23 years old. Still a virgin due to my inability to get aroused with real women. Even in the last year or so my erections to porn became very weak, hadn't gotten morning wood in over a year, probably. I quit PMO for good on May 13th of this year. I went through some flat lines during the initial 90 days, and it was hell. So much uncertainty about recovery process and the timeline, I fully expected myself to need 6-12 months to regain my sexual health. The uncertainties and like negative thoughts about your own recovery versus random peoples doesn't do you any good! It is so easy to think negatively like you'll never be cured, but i want to assure you that you will recover. Just really need to commit yourself to never PMOING again.
