19 Year Old Guy Trying To Recover From PIED

I?m a 19 year old virgin guy who has developed severe PIED. I have watched porn and masturbated since the age of 10. Over the years my porn use gradually increased until I was watching porn 4 times (or more) everyday. Overtime, I started noticing a noticeable decrease in sensitivity and quality of erections. Masturbation started to feel more like a chore than anything. Additionally, I realised that I haven?t had morning wood or spontaneous erections in years. Initually, I paid no mind to the fact as everybody told me that masturbation is completely healthy. However, I started suspecting that my problems might be connected to my excessive masturbation so I started searching the web for info. Eventually, I stumbled upon NoFap and Your Brain On Porn and realised that my issues were caused by porn.

I became very depressed after that. I wondered if it is even possible to recover. However, I learnt about Gabe Deem and Noah E. Church and their successful recovery from PIED and this gave me reason to believe that everything is not lost yet.

However, my journey of recovery has not been going so smooth. I started my reboot process back in Mid-December but have relapsed time and time again over the last two months. I?ve decided that I might have an easier time resisting urges if I start a journal. Perhaps, it will be of some use to other visitors here.

Day 0

First day after relapsing. Feeling lifeless under the belt. No libido, no erections.

The first few days or even weeks can be the hardest..if you have no important work in home today..please do not stay alone at home. That will be of great help.Be with your friends or family and completely forget about it in the initial days. Exercise or do something.. Outside

Of couse keep on updating!  :)
You will make it no time to 90 days par..but real recovery is when you change your mindset.

Day 3

Flatlining. Feeling numb under the belt. My brain is no longer obsessed with porn. For now.

Hey man.
Just want to give you a heads up, that it will be very difficult to stop this unhealthy habit without addressing the underlying issues, that brought you to excessive porn and masturbation. Don't get fooled into the idea that simply stopping will solve life for you.
Having said that, you do need to depart from it if you ever want to enjoy the good of a relationship. The how is the more tricky question.
It might be an idea to put on paper a number of life values (say 10) that you want to be part of your future. You are 19, now would be a great time to slowly set out a life vision, one that excludes the miserable, shady and deceitful world of porn and masturbation and is based on healthy constructive values instead. Even if you know you can't uphold those values yet, they will be a reminder of the character you want to develop. How to apply them practically would be a later question.

Hey buddy.. I am 19 as well, it's so refreshing to know there are others in the same position. I have had so many times of ED with girls that I got sick of it and I now haven't done anything all of 2019. I am still not recovered, so just understand it can take time. The benefits will be amazing, I am starting to get spontaneous erections, morning glory and can get it up without fricking pixels on a screen! You just have to be strict with yourself my man, don't let it beat you, you have to fight it. Become a man, find real woman, have real relationships, have real sexual encounters. I am excited to be fully healed and you can be too. 100 days seems long, but do it now rather than later and you'll be so thankful! Good luck bro and lets keep each other updated as we're in a similar position!

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. How many days have you abstained from PMO? How much time did it take you to start noticing positive effects?

Day 1

Hi everyone! I'm back! I'm sorry to say that I haven't been posting here because I have relapsed some times over the course of the last couple of weeks. However, I hope that I've learned from those mistakes. I have realized that it is hard for me to withstand temptations through willpower alone and I've decided to install a porn blocker on my laptop as well as on my phone. Let's see if this will actually help.

75 Days I've abstained from PMO (since January 1st). I've gone through up and down phases of the benefits, after around day 30. I actually already did a No Fap in September last year and got to Day 55 then relapsed. So there is also some healing from that period. But now I don't even care about the days, this is something I want to quit forever and have no desire to go back. I think very soon the public will see a big epidemic, it's already starting to get noticed.

Day 2

Flatline. I've experienced serious cravings for some time today but I've managed to hold out and not act upon them.

Day 7 - First week complete!

Well, after struggling to maintain a streak that is longer than 4 days I am now happy to say that I have finally managed to achieve a 7 day streak. However, I have noticed that despite the fact that it was relatively easy for me to stay away from porn or masturbating I found myself having involuntary fantasies about sex. Hopefully, that'll pass. As for erectile health I have not noticed any improvement (e.g. limp penis, no libido) which is not at all surprising to me since a single week of me rebooting is nothing compared to 9 years of compulsive masturbation. As a matter of fact, I think that if I consider the sheer severity of my addiction I'm expecting that my recovery can take up to 2 or 3 years. Anyway, I've also decided that I've hit rock bottom and there is no way for me but the way forward so I'm going to keep a positive attitude. At least I'm happy that I figured out that I have this problem while I'm only 19 because even if I will need an extensive period of recovery I'll still have a plenty of time left to enjoy my youth.

Good job man keep going!!  8)
Of course everything  will pass..and just be like this for the next 30 days!! ;)
And you will recover in no time..much more sooner than your 3 year mark..haha..
You will enjoy your life and youth much more if you stay away from it rather than going into it.. but most importantly what do you mean by enjoying your youth?
If that means having sex with lots of girls, partying etc..then by coming out of it also..you will be in only the animal nature never really experiencing the full potential of your life.

All remember one step at a time.. you dont need to go 90 days 6 months 2 years etc..just today you dont have to go to pmo thats it. Just remeber today i do not have to go to pmo. You will crack it up in no time. Be regular and keep updated. Let's get out of it in no time.
