I think Im finally making progress

So last night I had my first wet dream, which I was not the biggest fan of.  But since I heard this was the turning point for some people, I decided I would see if I could jerk off without porn.  Which I was.  Although I was never able to get fully hard I was able to jerk off with a 60-70% erection.  This was pretty uplifting for me as I thought Id never get better.  This was my first time ejaculating for over a month so when I did I felt some tension and maybe some pain.  Is this normal, has anyone else experienced this after long bouts of not ejaculating.
