Hello.
I'm just posting this because I want to share my progress for whom who are really depressed just like I was last 2 months. I was super depressed, nearly couldnt eat and think. this is the long daily research and theories of mine and I STRONGLY BELIEVE, this is the best thing you will read nowdays!
I had severe pied half of my life (14 years and still not completelly cured). Its already 146th day since I watched porn and I see all the things Gabe Deem said are happening one by one.
I have a gf who I love really much and I didnt have any choice to go on Full hard mode so I chose No porn and No masturbation. I constantly have the fear of losing the loved one so I'm trying the hardest in my life to get healthy. during the current reboot I had Orgasms every 3-4 day but erection was non existent. but somehow I still managed to orgasm. every time i Orgasmed it sent me to flatline of 2 weeks period. it gradually lessened to 11 day and now 3 day.  I used to try Sindelafil and tadalafil but it hardly ever worked.
today is the first day I achieved erection of 30% hard without any pills, which is really a good sign. also noticed that my depressions alleviated

I just want you to remember some things which I really am sure 10000% Ive spent last 4 months on researching all kind of stuff related to porn, pied, brain and want to eas your journey somehow
I want you to STRICTLY REMEMBER things I'm enlisting below and you MUST remember it as 2x2=4. the things below are not my tests only , those are based on 4 month of research, reading and learning visiting all kinds of doctors, sexologists urologists psychiatrists and psychologists.

1) PIED is real!
  #1*during research I've came across many people who say pied or porn addiction is not real, you cant damage yourself with doing some natural things but I have really simple answer:
too much pleasure is punishment - people who eat to much junk food they become obese, start having hormonal disbalance, they become addicted to junk food. any kind of action which gives you pleasure can hook your brain and lead you to the consequences. even healthy things also count as working out too much(body overexhaustion) reading too much (eye problems) running too much etc..
  #2*its impossible to have such huge community who have same problem, same symptoms and recovery. you just cant fake it!
  #3* look into your heart and ask yourself, how many times you were just sitting doing nothing and suddenly from nowhere you got the urges to fap to porn. how many times after orgasming to porn you felt like you need more? how many times happened so that you went several days or weeks streaks watching porn daily? these are all the symptoms of addiction, and addiction always causes problems
  #4* there was the time I didn't know about the PIED and accidentally went to 9months streak without watching porn but masturbating regularly. after 9 months suddenly my erections appeared, but of course I fapped back to porn(I know it feels really stupid, this is the disadvantage of ignorance) and of course I went back to PIED again. Wish i knew about it that time!
  #5* I didnt watch Porn for 5 months and had got a partner. I knew I couldnt get erections easily so I tried sindelafil and it helped really much(just because i was half way cured otherwise they dont really work, ive tried them recently after 2-3 months of abstaining from porn and they didnt work). I had sex with pills with really small issues but guess what, after 2 months I fapped to porn again and went back to ED again. no ed drugs or anything used to help me anymore and this was the main and the biggest indicator that PIED is real.
  #6* currently im on the day 146 which is almost 5 months and im on the same stage halfway cured.(this is a really good indicator too that PIED is real.)
  #7* you can get erections with Porn(Dont test it) but not with the real sex

The best advice: Accept that you are addicted


2)There is NO Permanent damage from PIED.
  #1* many of you may think that if porn is addiction and have the same effect of substance abuse, maybe it can also permanently damage my brain, but the issue is that you cant damage permanently your brain by doing natural things like masturbation, even overmasturbation(this is the real reason why the brain sends you to the flatline all along the porn which gives you higher dopamine rush). there are really few drugs which gives permanent damage to the brain and thats only because of their toxic materials. you cant damage brain with dopamine or endorphine rush, you only desensitize your brain which is natural defense mechanism for your brain(releasing Deltafosb to desensitize dopamine receptors on purpose. brain wouldnt destroy itself naturally), unlikely other toxic substances. (actually read the article on that)
  #2* there are no anyone who never recovered from PIED. there are some guys who say im permanently damage but I strongly believe they have other physical problem or they dont do the nofap. when I visited psychiatrist he told me to stay off the PIED forums because there are many scared or depressed people there and actually who got cured they didnt signed back onto the forum and some other things(will discuss below)
  #3* even some heavy long term substance users getting recovered and have full life. and porn cant be compared to Substance abuse.
  #4* scientists say that Dopamine receptors are recycled and replaced by a new receptor. that means even if you damage your receptors, brain will recycle it and change it with a newer one. this means you shouldn't be afraid of even damaged receptors. we damage receptors every time.
  #5* Morning woods are the biggest indicators that you are not perma-damaged and even if there is the even a tiny case where you have an erection, this means you can heal, just because you can get erections.

The best advice: STRICTLY REMEMBER earlier or later YOU WILL HEAL!

3) Withdrawal symptoms are MUST to experience.
  #1*research about addictions says that after abstinence of addiction material, like cocaine, meth ...  people experience withdrawal symptoms. that is the main indicator that brain is healing itself.
why? because chronic porn use and dopamine rush changes the brain chemistry and shape like. the problem is not using porn. problem is the chronic and big amount of using porn.

  Condition 1.Chronic Porn -> Chronic Dopamine Rush-> brain gets it and adapts to that new conditions -> releases DeltafosB to avoid more dopamine rush because it cant take anymore -> Desensitizing dopamine receptors -> raises level of dopamine required to feel sensation or arousal (which only porn can provide) -> numb response to real body ->  = ED. 

  Condition 2. stop using porn -> Brain is not getting same amount of dopamine rush(the used condition changed) -> brain asks itself whats happening??? I need to send signals to get my daily dose of dopamine -> rises urges to get dopamine(this is why first two weeks we are having biggest urges) -> after 2 weeks brain thinks well rising urges didnt work I guess. I have to start adaptation to new conditions -> starts homeostasis(homeostasis is the phase where brain starts adapting new conditions turns off some things like libido, changes chemicals, starts resensitising dopamine receptors, changing chemicals, completely starts rebuilding itself and the last term which is our real goal, starts finding new way of dopamine source - real body. this is why Gabe Deem mentions that experience of having sex, sex memory is a good advantage to fight the PIED because brain reminds itself that he used to use other way to get dopamine rush and starts resetting itself back to it.) -> homeostasis causes withdrawal symptoms -> real reboot starts here.

  #2 many of you may think that you are depressed because you cant get erections, this overthinking is not the only reason why you are depressed. actually depression is the main symptom of homeostasis, this is why Gabe Deem says that embrace the symptoms because you actually should be happy of flatline and depression because actually these are the main indicators that you are getting healed.
  #3 withdrawal symptoms:
  *Depression
  *Anxiety
  *Insomnia
  *low concentration
  *Low libido
  *Penis shrinkage, coldness and low sensitivity

The best advice: Be happy that you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, because it means you are getting healed.
 
4) why is reboot non-linear?
  #1 Good question. imagine your brain is like a Spring and porn is the pressure. when you cut porn off it releases the spring and spring starting jumping up and down. imagine the natural level of spring is  0 and when you stop fapping you are at level -20 for example. it goes up to 17 then back to -12 then up to 7 than back to -5 and finally to 0 which is natural settings. every time the spring goes up and down it crosses the natural level of 0 but for really a small amount of time. this is natural way of recalibrating anything. just imagine you have binoculars with wrong settings, you are recalibrating it with increasing and decreasing the focal lenght where the best options are ingluded during this process. you try lesser and lesser amount of changes unless you find the perfect spot! the more time you are tryingto have sex you are adding pressure to change it to the natural "0 Zero level". more time you fap on porn or masturbating on porn fantasy. you are adding pressure to -20 level. this  also explaining why testing on porn revives you back because for example if you are to level 20 it adds pressure towards -20. (Never fap to porn) this explains really many things. like why it is non linear. imagine that  - amounts are the cravings and + amounts are no libido. seems familiar right?? hell yeah


The best advice: remember this information and it will help you stress less but you wont eliminate the stress.

5) How to speed up the recovery?
  #1* before answering this I want you too remind something, This:

  does it give you any sense? of course! humans need 8 hours on average sleep to function normally. some people need less some people need more. same way like reboot. some people need less or more time to get healed.  you just cant speed up the sleeping process  like 50% or so just like healing process.
  #2* The good thing is that speeding up the process is really possible, its all about the neurogenesis and recycling dopamine receptors(mostly receptors are recycled not repaired):
  *Good Sleep (Essential)
  *Exercising (Essential + a huge help)
  *Nutriotions (Mild help)
  *Stress Less
  *learn something or get a new hobby
Explanations:
Sleep is when the brain is actively trying to repair/recallibrate himself. this is the mostly when neurogenesis happening, so reducing sleeping hours will reduce the amount of neurones created(which will be converted to new healthy dopamine receptors) the more time you need to heal. Actually this part is how to avoid reboot prolongation, not the speeding up!
Exercising - if there was a pill which gives you benefits of exercises gives to your body and brain, it would be the most expensive and revolutionary medicine ever! you remember homeostasis I mentioned above? exercises gives healthy stress to your brain, then brain is asking himself omg something is happening, I have to hurry up and fix everything faster. leading to increased neurogenesis. Exercising is the best and biggest way of speeding up the process, but dont overdo it. the best approach is to speed up your health racing. so the best exercises are cardiovascular exercises like jogging(but maximum of 20-40 minutes) and lifting weights. but be careful, dont overdo it!
Nutritions: just this is not considered as the big help, dont memorize and getting molested with the vitamins you need for brain, just eat healthy, fruits, greens, dark chocolate, bananas... eating too much doesnt give you boosted effect. this doesnt speed up, its just avoiding reboot prolongations
Sreess Less - oh boy, this seems impossible, especially when you are in relationship. you get constantly fear of being dumped.( but remember who loves you will never leave you.) in fact completelly eliminating stress is impossible due to withdrawal symptom of depression. when you are stressing brain reduces the amount of neurons created per day, also leads to sleep deprivation-> causing lesser neurons created. so this term also goes to avoiding the reboot prolongation.
Learn Something - while workouts boosts amount of neurons created by hippocampus, Learning helps newly created neurons to survive and get to the destination (increased Neuroplasticity)



You can also take in consideration other factors like stress, sleep, nutritions etc...  You can double the new neurons created per day if you workout and learn new things.

The best advice: Strictly accept that healing needs time! follow all the advices mentioned below, reduce the amount of screen time( PC smartphone etc) before sleep, because it will disrupt you from a good sleep. the most Strict Rule is - STAY OFF THE FORUMS! yes correct. stay off the forums because there are big depression and will take you to the deepest level of depressions. there are some guys who are really crying out of depression and they are sharing their depression like scared children those are like: "I'm on hard mode of 700 days already, still not cured", "I'm permanently damaged" "I need dick prosthesis" and etc. and Believe me reading this will cause you the worst thing you can imagine - Suicidal thoughts. as my psychiatrist told me too. stay off the forums, there are many scared and nervous people who will drag you to the worst! and  I believe he is right! the only thing if you stress too much and cant help it is to read successful stories. and remember, the best mindset to kill PIED is : have you played assassins creed where the assassins dive from the tall building? this is called the leap of faith. You should do the same. believe you will heal and make a leap of faith(Not literally jumping from the tall building)!

#4. The only thing is to avoid artificial sexual stimuli , as Gabe Deem mentioned

also forgot to mention. both of my doctors, sexologist and psychiatrist said, try to have sex attempts as much as you need. so I believe having orgasms during the reboot has positive effect but dont urge it. also remember if you dont have a partner its ok, actually you have another advantages, you stress less because of you are not in relationship and you can go hard mode! and repeat yourself every time. you will heal!
