Rebooting and Family Planning?

Hi,

I have just started my reboot process, however my wife and I are planning a family and we are supposed to be making love every other day at the moment.

I've ready that continuing to engage in sex does not help the reboot process and if I were to withdraw from sex, how long would I need to withdraw for? My wife will find this difficult as we really want a baby.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi,

From my perspective. I am almost 130 days since stopping PMO, I had 280 days last year. I have quit porn and masturbation as I just no longer wanted it to dominate my life and my time. I did not have ED.

I have had sexual intimacy with my wife pretty much once a week since beginning this new life. At first having O's would produce somewhat of a chaser or hangover craving for more O's about 3-5 days following... this has eased much the farther I clean out the old porn addict self.

One thing we strive for is lots of non-sexual physical connection. Hugs and cuddles and hand holding and kissing. This activity helps counter the effects of O's.

I wish you the best in your attempts to have a child , ours is 16 now and so awesome!

Abstaining from O is only necessary for guys with porn-induced ED. However, even guys without ED notice benefits from temporarily cutting out orgasm or drastically reducing the frequency of O's during the reboot.

If you are fully functional, and are able to handle the chaser effect having an orgasm might give you, and able to have successful sex without fantasizing, then by all means, keep going for a baby.

A reboot is a complete rest of artificial sexual stimulation (i.e porn), going no O is not required, it is just recommended to speed things up, and appears to be necessary for guys with PIED.

Hope the best for you and your family
