Life after the big 90

Does anyone know what its like to get to 90 days sober? What about after that big landmark of a day? Do you become Captain America or some shit? (go see that new one btw its badass!). I only ask because I've never gotten that far in any previous reboot attempt. I just need some motivation because right now I think I'm really on a flat line session. I'm talking not enough energy in the gym to finish my workouts. I'm mad at the world for every single thing and for no apparent reason. I'm feeling hopeless with my emotions wildly fluctuating like a mid pubescent girl. I cant even talk to women around me because they all wear some revealing shit!, then I think to myself not until day 90. So this brings us back to the original question....What in the blue hell happens after 90 days?

Hi Dimitri,

I have been past 90 several times... and I tell you what! At 90 days nothing happens!!!! Nothing happens, it is a suggested period of time for abstinence for the effects of a PMO addict to show some signs of abating! It's not a magic pill type deal, time release capsule. Too bad, wish it was.

Give yourself time, patience and be gentle! This PMO addiction causes a lot of damage to our brains that is reversible!! You need time and determination. Do talk to women, being social is a great benefit in recovery.

Take a good look around at yourbrainonporn.com... lots of great tips and experience. Look at Uncle Bob's tips...http://yourbrainonporn.com/uncle-bob-porn-addiction-recovery-tips

What in the blue hell happens after 90 days?

You start on day 91

Does anyone know what its like to get to 90 days sober? What about after that big landmark of a day? Do you become Captain America or some shit?

Many guys know what it is like... I am on day 1060 and no... I am not Captain America.

First thing you need to do is get this 90 days number out of your head. No where on this site does it say 90 days is special. Every reboot is different and the only thing that seems to be the case is guys who grew up with internet porn tend to take longer than older guys who did not watch high-speed porn through their teenage years.

I did not feel anything at all until about 180 days, while some others feel improvement after 14.

It is great to set a goal like 90 days, but there is absolutely no magic day that you fully reboot. Really understand that.

I have times felt like Captain America, but it comes more in the form of improvement in concentration, ability to easily be aroused, rock solid boners, shorter refractory period, motivation, energy, and memory. Not so much on strength and ability to kick ass and sling a shield.

If you want to get stronger you have to workout, rebooting doesn't make your muscles grow. However, it may give you the motivation to make that happen = )

I'm mad at the world for every single thing and for no apparent reason.

Felt the same way... it passed with time.

There are many beautiful things about the world, and there are many ugly things as well. Rebooting gave me the ability to enjoy the beauty and the passion to fight to change the ugly.

Mr Deem, I like that ''you start on day 91'' answer kinda like a troll answer. On a serious note though almost 3 years without a relapse seems like mission impossible, big ups to you. I myself can hardly make it to 90 days let alone 80. The most I've ever got up to was day 72 and reboot wise I felt a bit the same as I do now on day 54."Do talk to women, being social is a great benefit in recovery." There are days I feel like being antisocial like this one for the mere fact that I don't want to be angered. So being sociable is out of the question sometimes. Other times I feel like I need to be further on in my reboot to even feel like I need to start engaging women."
If you want to get stronger you have to workout, rebooting doesn't make your muscles grow. However, it may give you the motivation to make that happen = )"  Yes I know it isn't like roids, I lift weights almost every day to expend any extra energy I may have at the end of the day.

Well then looks like I have a ways to go ahead of me, seeing as extreme porno use goes all the back to when I was 15.

haha my bad dude, that was a real answer. Sorry if it came across as me being an asshole, just trying to point out that day 90 is just another day. This is a lifestyle change. I have been trying to get a certain amount of days out of guys heads for years, so I apologize if it came across as a troll answer.

Out of curiosity. Where did you get the idea of the "big 90"?

Well then looks like I have a ways to go ahead of me, seeing as extreme porno use goes all the back to when I was 15.

It is best to be prepared for the long haul, but again we have no idea how long your reboot will take. Take it day by day and document what happens. Learn as much as you can about the brain and how pornography can numb and re-wire it. This really helped me stay motivated and gave me hope. Knowing that our brains are able to change our entire lives really gave me peace. I hope the same for you.

We are all in this together my man. I can say this, life without porn is way better than life with porn. In all areas.

Lol nah man you're good it was actually kinda funny, I didn't pick up on a dickhead type of vibe don't sweat it! Seriously though I'm fixated on the number 90 because that was the general number I would come across when I first started. I would research my problem and almost every page out there would show 90 days this, 90 days that, 90 day reboot, etc etc etc! Honestly though it's comforting to know that extremely porno use won't forever change our minds. I'm really looking forward to the day I can beat this addiction for good, you know live a porn free life. And the day I can replace the BS with a real woman after years of this? Man that'll be like some sort of milestone!

If you are this fixated on the 90, I'd suggest that you try it out. Strive for the 90 and see what's coming. There's nothing to lose. Improvements will come for sure. And you might want to go farther then.

I journaled my day 90. Nothing happened. I was hoping for the magic porn fairy to blow pixie dust on my dick, but she didn't come.

Tomorrow I will celebrate day 90 x 2 and I can say, that in these 180 days many things changed, but there was no magic day, when things were not like the day before.

Well, actually there were days like that when we found out that sexual things suddenly started working, that didn't work in the beginning.
