Back to Reboot Nation -- Still fighting the good fight

I am embarrassed to say the last time I posted in this forum was January of 2018. At that time I had went 110 days and was feeling really great about my progress. As time went on I was feeling really great and having the best sex with my girlfriend.

However, I let my guard down and by September of 2018 I had a relapse and fell back into cycle of anxiety, fear of PIED, urges to watch porn, etc. I was never as bad as I was before I started this journey but it was extremely disappointing and depressing. Since then I have gone stretches but never what I really needed. Now I am back on it and serious. I have opened up with my struggles to my gf again, I have discovered some other great resources like JK Emezi from Elevated Recovery, his podcast, and antidopamine vpn that screens all pornographic material from the internet.

I am happy to say I am on week 8 of no porn. It is a very difficult time period for me because I told my girlfriend I needed a break from the relationship to work through this is and its embarrassing. Although she is supportive I feel pressure to get over this as long as I am with her. I feel like the break will give me the freedom to take my time recovering like I really need. Anyways thats not the point of this post -- the point is that I am back on the right track. In the middle of my 8th week and going strong. I can't wait to be over this again and now that I am equipped with knowledge of what to look out for after this time period is up I refuse to relapse EVER AGAIN.

Happy recovering good people!

I hear you....I've fallen off the wagon (once again) and have been on and off for the past 5.5 years since I first came across Gabe's video and this site. It's really frustrating and easy to get down on yourself. To err is human...

I wish you strength and consistency in your journey. I'll be joining you starting today!

Stay strong and let's all be consistent and comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.
