Porn induced premature ejaculation

Hey I'm currently suffering from premature ejaculation due to my bad masturbation habits for the last 11 and half years. I see that yourbrainonporn and reboot nation talks about ED but not enough about PE. In my situation I'm able to get an erection fine with no issues but as soon as I insert my penis into a girls vagina I would ejaculate within seconds.

Is there any other guys on here experiencing the same issue as me. Feel free to share your experiences.

Question for Gabe Dean:

Would me not masturbating for 90 days help fix this issue for me?

I'm 9 months into my recovery with only two slip ups.  I too have severe PE.  Mine appears to be attached to my ED.  Can't get it up, then when I do, I fire my load too quickly.  I've been struggling with this problem now for five years.  Almost the entirety of my marriage.  I've tried every potential cure possible with little help.  I just recently decided to talk to my doctor again and will be seeing him on Monday.  I used ED drugs to overcome my challenges for a good part of the last five years.  I actually think they hurt my recovery and made things work.  PE is not a lifetime issue with me.  My PE only started 2 or 3 years ago.  I think the PE is worse than the ED but both seem to play on one another.  I'm trying to be patient realizing that curing myself from PIED may take 1+ years but the journey has been difficult.

These are all the problems associated with PIED, PE falls into this category as well. I used to have the same problem as yours because although I gave up porn, I used to masturbate lying face down on the bed. It's called 'traumatic masturbation syndrome' and because I used to masturbate lying on the bed in my sleep and morning wood it was very difficult for me to stop.

One way to improve the functioning was to 'stroke' the penis lying on the bed, but not orgasm. Actually stroking the penis using lube, and not orgasm by holding on the penis head improves the function. Try to masturbate when you go to a shower, without any sexual stimuli, in that way u can train your penis.

Once you see such improvement in functionality, then you can stop masturbating all together. Practice with your partner.

So I've read about this method.  Does this work.  I've tried it and I'm not sure it helped.  I go back in forth whether I should be doing something like this or just nothing at all.

There is a site that actually deals with (TMS), www.healthystrokes.com as I suffer from PE due to excessive porn and masturbation. It's important to 'train' your penis, because u r effectively 'rebooting' the whole process. Masturbating without needing 'stimuli' and doing it properly is actually beneficial. Remember you need to do this properly in order to cure your PE, there are many youtube videos that teach this.

You should only masturbate when you have the 'urge' to do so without requiring external stimuli. Try to stop reaching orgasm by holding the top of your head, or completely stop masturbating. Slowly try to keep increasing your tolerance, it helped me a lot.

I guess my challenge is needing stimuli in order to get erect.  I WANT to masturbate without stimuli but can't yet (at least most of the time) so I'm trying now just to cool it for a bit until I am able to get erect without stimuli.  I've seen the videos.  I just am problem not at the right stage in the process to start that phase.

I think when humanity takes a look at ourselves in the mirror, we have to learn from our past, the rich history, heritage and the wisdom of humanity. It isn't a coincidence that most people, cultures, religion across the world frowns upon those who view porn, sexual images because they have seen from the past what it does to a person.

What really bothers me is the fact these 'smart' ass phds researchers which vehemently deny anything wrong with porn, or say porn addiction. Humans are a lot smarter now but we are not wise. It is wisdom that provides valuable knowledge about us. The tsunami of the problems, that arises from PIED people knew, but we didn't listen.

Well said. We are arrogant enough in the modern world to think we can reject all the time-tested wisdom and have any flavour of debauchery we please with no consequences. And we will even deny the damage that's right in front of us by saying there are no studies that conclusively prove the causation. It's almost laughable how unwise we are in this clever modern world.

To be fair, it's usually psychologists and sexologists saying these things. There are tons of hard scientists (neurologists and urologists, etc., also doctors) sounding the alarm about porn. Neurologists have produced 40 studies so far finding addiction-related brain changes in porn users.

But the thing is I don't have ED. I can get boners with no issues whatsoever. My problem is as soon as I insert my dick into a girls vagina I would ejaculate within seconds.

During my PMO days I would masturbate either sitting on a chair or standing up. I never masturbated lying facedown on my bed.

I have a big problem with PE as well. I would say the first step is to work on penetrating without orgasm. Once you can do that just sit with it. Obviously you'll want to talk with your partner about this or it'll seem really weird but it helps. No thrusting or anything just be inside her and stay there. Then move on to slow movements, as soon as you feel close to O stop and let it go away. My current partner actually had me do this to be with her longer and it works.

I've tried that in the past but it didn't work. Hell even masturbating before sex doesn't work for me. Porn basically destroyed my ability to have successful sex with women.

I'm not any different.  I've been dealing with PE for 3 or more years.  For me it all started with PIED roughly 5 years ago.  I've tried virtually everything but have not found a cure yet.  I'm meeting with my doctor on Tuesday and hope to find out more.  I'm hoping mine is something physical and treatable.  I've also ordered some delay cream that got good reviews on Amazon.  This is different than most stuff because you apply it a couple hours or so before sex.  I'm hoping I can do that before going to be bed and it will work.  It's less obvious than stopping during to apply something.

It is now a steep hill process for recovery, it looks like you need 'professional' help regarding this issue. There are various drugs available like u can take it orally, inhaled, and there are sprays that prevent PE. It's best that you go to the right person who understand PIED, and then they can give u the right medications.

Once u get used to the medications you will slowly see improvements where you won't need them. Also your partner needs to understand this and work with your issues.

I might need to start taking medication for this issue. Again I could get erections fine with no issues but as soon as I try to have intercourse I ejaculate immediately. So I don't think that this is related to PIED.

It could be.  I am trying harder not to MO and touch my penis in general.  Others have tied PE to PIED.  You should quit porn regardless and see a doctor.  Drugs only address the symptoms.  They don?t provide a longtime cure.  I?m still hopeful that I can cure myself without meds.  I admit that I caused this. Had I recognized my PIED before PE raised its ugly head, I?d have been fine.  I knew what I was doing wrong but chose to ignore my conscious.  Now I?m here and must be patient.  For me, it?s been 20 or so years of porn use that caused this.  You can?t expect to be healed in less than 1 year.  Patience!

I agree bro its gonna take time for me to recover from this especially since I've been fapping to porn for almost 12 years.

There is the link between porn addiction and premature ejaculation (PE) during sexual intercourse. I have found that because stimulation is difficult in intercourse when you are addicted to porn, your penis only starts to become hard when you are aroused. That makes it difficult to continue sex while maintaining an erection and hence ejaculation comes more quickly. In case of masturbation, try to stop reaching orgasm by holding the top of your head, or completely stop masturbating. Slowly try to keep increasing your tolerance, it will surely help you.
