Day One - Request Prayers, Thoughts, Karma, etc.

So this is Day One.  Over 40, exposed to hard-core porn around age 12, and a consumer / addict since.  Married to a wonderful woman, and I want to do right by her.  I also want control of myself.  I've done so well in other areas of life, but this has remained beyond control for so long.  The inconsistency is becoming more difficult to bear. 

Planning to post near-daily updates.

I like to converse with others about this because it helps me clarify my feelings and commitment to becoming sexually healthy again. I got my first exposure to video porn around 12 when I found a box of 8mm reels of film, all porn, then a bunch of hardcore mags and etc... There is only one continuous habit in my entire life that has an unbroken weekly continuity and that is mastubation to porn. All my other habits came and went. not porn. I often wonder where my life would be if I had learned, at age 12, what I know now, about masturbating to porn. If someone could have taught me about YourBrain On Porn and Reboot/Rewire, I would be a completely different kind of man.

So today is Day 10 No PMO for me and I am glad to have the folks on this site around to share my thoughts with.

You are so right, 40yearsOn! It should be part of the curriculum in school at that age!
