Whoever is responsible for porn being accessible should be in prison

Whoever is keeping the situation the way it is should be in prison for life. I consider 13 year old Boys (like I was) and younger being exposed to porn to be sexual abuse of minors. It's not fair - I'm now 29 and this addiction consumed my youth, prime and vitality. I am now broken and I lost the best years of my life to self isolated misery due to this addiction being allowed and tolerated. I think the problem is that we are too calm and afraid to be confrontational about this issue. I fucking HATE porn and our society/culture for allowing this. I would even understand wholeheartedly if somebody killed porn producers. They legitimize ruining our lives, so why should be care about theirs? If somebody shot up the offices of every major porn site producer, nothing of value would be lost. (spare the actresses themselves but make their content illegal for anybody under 18 to ever see). That's not a plan, it's just a reflection on how bitter and resentful my emotional state is, that if somebody else did it, part of me would commend them.

If we take your language as hyperbole, then I'm in agreement... literally, not so much.  I don't agree with aggressive legal action unless real exploitation or abuse is involved.

But yes, what you say is true.  Imagine if all you needed to do to get cigarettes was click a pop up that asked "are you 18?" and there was never, ever any follow up to see if the people clicking "yes" really are 18.  You'd have 11 and 12 year olds smoking all the day long.  The bar for due diligence is laughably low for the porn industry on this one.  There might have been an excuse in the dial up days, but now there are so many ways to verify identity and age online.  Provide a credit card number or link to a paypal account.  Heck, one account could serve as a universal ID for a multitude of porn sites.

I think my level of anger is fair. Because of these people's greed and readiness to exploit people, millions of young Men the World over miss out on having a natural youth and people who already have mental problems with intimacy have them exploited and exacerbated. God damn right I hate these motherfuckers and think that all things considered, with the lives they ruin, they don't deserve impunity.

I agree. I think porn sites need their own urls (ex. Pornhub.xxx) and that any of these .xxx sites need to require entry of photo ID information in order to access.

I was really starting to quit my pornaddiction when somebody posted a simple statement: do you resist with no porn (just watching, or only pics, wich in fact is edging!) for a whole month??

It?s only going to get worse. Porn is becoming more and more normalized. The last few times I relapsed, I couldn?t believe how many fucking porn sites there are out there now. Jesus Christ. A decade ago when I started there were MAYBE 4 or 5 seriously popular ones that everyone my age knew about. And now those sites have multiplied by the hundreds. It?s crazy. Also, more and more girls are joining the industry as soon as they turn 18. Can?t get much more taboo than that.
