help me !!

Hi there , My name?s Khuntom Riddle.
Hypothetical question: if one would have made it, say, 5 months without looking at porn.
and then, would relapse and spend 48 hours watching porn,
jacking off, browsing, browsing, doing whatever gets that dopamine high and so on, then would ALL the progress be lost,
or would it set that person back for 1 month, 1 week, or what? I know it is impossible to answer this question accurately,
but if someone would have any idea about it, it would be great.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.

It will set your recovery back, by how much is impossible to say.

I think most people would agree that you would delay your recovery. You would also run the risk of restarting the cycle of PMO. A recovering alcoholic can never touch another drink. It's important that you understand why the alcoholic is 'recovering' in the same way that we are 'recovering'. In my opinion, porn addicts and alcoholics never recover! You will regain pretty much normal sexual function if you quit porn, but the pathways have been created in your brain and they will never disappear completely.

So, don't even think about watching porn again. It's difficult. It's the only solution.

I dont know if tryong to gague how much youve been "set back" is a good way of looking at it. That sounds like an excuse to be able to look at more porn after a while.
Although, i wouldnt say that all of your great progress has been lost. five months is damn good for going without porn!
If you say, repeated that 48 wank-a-thon every week then you would start to experience the many other symptoms of porn use and dopamine deficiency such as, PIED, depression, anxiety, etc. When those other symtoms manifest I would say thats a good indicator that youve been "set back" far enough to have resetted the whole thing.
Id say you jsut slipped up (48 hours of batting-off is a pretty big fucking slip, though!), and that you now know what to avoid doing next time.
Be careful in the days just after a porn binge, these are when the urges to do it again are strongest

The first thing you need to remember for a successful detox is not to think you have successfully quit. Because when you think that you have successfully quit, it will lead to allowing porn playback, which will make you relapse. Even worse than before.
