On average, how long do people with PIED go without morning wood?

Mine came back after a month, I think. I'd been addicted over 10 years, but everyone is a bit different.

Don't worry about it; just keep on going and the healing will come in time.

I guess mine is severe because I can't even get hard to porn. Morning wood may take longer to appear? It's not dopamine-dependent, right?

I have PIED and after 3 months with several relapses about once to twice a week i got my morning wood back.
The day after a relapse I don't get morning woods which is quite obvious. At day 3 it always starts to
be better. But during masturbating without porn I can't still get a full erection.
By the way, I startet when I was 11 years old and I am addicted for about 7 years now (with PMO 1-2 times a day before reboot).

I just started my new reboot at 15 days now. I have what i think is PIED in a flatline since March 2016. It may be a while before morning wood comes back for me?

Whilst I got erections back after 3 month or so... Frequent and hard MW not till at least 7 month... I had severe PIED with weak erections to porn. Hope this helps.

Did you experience a loss of sexual arousal and libido as well?

Yes completely. Libido was gone, started coming back slowly after 3 months but was temporary and too much sex too soon set me back... It's only recently that sex has started feeling really like full on arousal.

Did you ever suspect that your PIED was venous leak at one point? Because I still am. I'm not sure. It's kind of scary because of the no morning wood part. Then again, I can still get erections it's just that it's situational if I physically arouse myself manually or look at a text. I have been stopping this for 15 days so far though. My penis did shrink too.

What kept you going? Sorry, I don't mean to ask too many questions.

Never considered venous leak, but I had thought I may have a physical complication. I'm not a doc so can't rule anything out for you... All I can say is that it's incredible how quick (in the scheme of things) the brain can heal. You must give it time though. I hadn't had MW for over 10 years. I'd forgotten what it felt like, I just assumed at my age it didn't happen anymore. What kept me going was a determination to fix my life, satisfy my new love, be a better person in the sack and life in general, plus a realisation that PMO had destroyed over half my life, it was no longer an option and really was not benefiting me at all. Like a lot of guys here I switched my PMO habits for exercise and fitness... Looking better, feeling fitter, interacting with people and noticing physical changes in your physique is great for your self esteem and takes your mind off the PMO. Hope this helps.

My E.D. wasn't sudden. There was like a pain and then the E.D. occurred within 2-3 days of time. The pain went away but the E.D. did not. I went to two doctors and nothing. One urologist just said try Viagra but the thing is that I can't get aroused.

Viagra etc did nothing for me either. The pain.... Who knows... I have over done it with M before and hurt my dick... If urologist says your plumbing is OK... You gotta try trust them, even if they're oblivious to PIED.

Well, my longest streak was 2 months long. It took me about one month to have solid morning erections everytime I didn't wake up because of my alarm clock. You need to be in the right state of sleep to have a morning erection.

That being said, I have relapsed a few times and my morning erections have disappeared again. I'm not really worried because I was actually able to have sex with a real girl some time ago and I even O'ed in a natural way. I'm definitely on the right track.

And yes, the flatline occurred to me back in the time of my longest streak. Now it doesn't seem to and I seem to retain my normal libido.

So on my first PROPER reboot, MW came back after 10 days. On my second, it was 20 days. So it doesn't seem fixed. Also when I say MW, I'm talking 60% hard. I don't think it's physically possible to wake up with a 100% erection! haha

For what it's worth, I have ED (supposedly PIED), and I get morning wood almost every day.

Your ED must not be as serious as mine because mine literally shrunk and stays flaccid. Are you in a flatline?

I would argue that mine is extremely serious, since I've had it for 10 years now. No idea if I'm in a flatline or not.

I'm roughly three months in, I rarely get morning wood, but then I usually drift awake, dozing for ages and awake long before my alarm goes off. However, almost routinely I wake at around 4am absolutely rock solid and it doesn't go down for a very long time. Then I usually just drift along until it's time to get up and it's long subsided.

Im pretty sure I didn't encounter these super night boners until about a month and a bit into the reboot. I don't remember being like this when I was PMOing.

When did you start getting morning wood again at least, a little bit?

I've had chronic PIED for at least ten years. Mine started as regular ED, then some performance anxiety entered the picture which led to more ED issues. It was a vicious cycle. I found that I could achieve erection and release via PMO so that was the path I took. I've now turned my back on the PMO and am working toward recovery.

There are no set in stone rules as to how quickly your MW will return, if at all. There's also no set in stone time frame as to how quickly your ED or PIED issues will be resolved. Every person is different.

I am now 46 days in and I'm getting consistent night time erections as well as MW. I have been since approx day 30. Sometimes the MW is 50-60%, but it's more commonly 100%.

The key is to not focus on what you think is not working and how quickly you want it to get back to whatever you expect as "normal". The healing and re-wiring process simply doesn't work that way.

You must take it one day at a time. Don't MO. Don't edge. Don't look at pics or videos or text. Deprive your brain of that stuff because it's going to do nothing but set you back in your recovery. Also, don't give in to the urge to "test" yourself to see if things are working down there. That too will set you back in your recovery.

Be patient. Be consistent. Don't edge. Don't MO. Don't PMO. Only touch yourself for bathing and using the toilet. Don't rush things along. And stop worrying and fretting over it. Your body and mind will heal but it takes time.

You didn't get into this situation overnight and it's unrealistic to think you're going to heal overnight.

Take things one hour at a time, one day at a time.
