Hey all! Hope you guys are giving it your all towards beating this addiction.

I've recently brought a book in amazon called Love Yourself "like your life depends on it"

I just finished it and I believe this book can and if you firmly believe in it will change your life.

I don't want to go in too much details but basically the author started repeating to himself everyday, "I love myself" he would repeat this phrase when brushing his teeth, when working or whenever a negative thought would enter his mind.

In just 30 days repeating this phrase, it changed his life for the better. He also mentioned another technique in the book but I'm not gonna go through it here.

Anyways I believe you all should get it. It's cheap and it's only 59 pages.

Quote from the book.  "Truth is simple"

I'll definitely check that one out - I think it's good to always have a book on the go that relates to addiction - It keeps the brain focused on recovery and helps me to avoid complacency. I'm currently getting to the end of "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts" by Gabor Mate. It's blown me away. So much interesting, relevant, and useful information. I'd check it out if you haven't already. Okay, off to look up the one you recommend!

This thread got me thinking that it would be good to have a post or a place for all of our book recommendations. I started and got through half of Terry Crews's book Manhood last night. I think it's pretty good. An easy read, but with some great insights into his life and actions. It was amazing that even though we had very different upbringings, I still ended up with similar bad habits and bad attitudes as he did. I'll probably finish it today.

Terry Crews is the Man! I've seen some of his videos on YouTube talking about porn addiction, he knows and has been through everything we are going through.
