FINALLY POPPED THE CHAMPAGNE OF VICTORY (age 22)

Hello readers, I am pleased to announce that after years of porn-related problems, I have recovered and 2 days ago i finally had sex- and it was amazing. Here's my brief story line:

- I experienced pretty bad PIED ever since I started seeing girls, around age 17. I could not feel any sexual arousal with them and never knew why.

- At age 19 I got into a relationship with a gorgeous girl with whom I couldn't even get hard at all at first, but after 5-6 times of her coming over to my house I managed to do partial rewiring (hj and bj), but never fully healed to where we could have sex. I was usually 100% hard during foreplay but always went limp when we attempted intercourse. it was horrible. She dumped me because of our sex problems 6 months later and I was devastated.

- I felt depressed, suicidal and lost a whole year of university because of my mental state after the breakup

- When I'd get with girls, I'd always avoid sexual intercourse in fear of similar failure and embarrassment. Of course, none of these girls stuck around for long.

- I learned about PIED by doing internet research at age 21 and felt very releaved to find the answers (and solutions) to my problems. By this stage I was starting to improve my unversity carreer and get back on track.

- It took me a good half year of informing myself and convincing myself to start my journey to recovery

- As soon as i turned 22 (last may) I completely quit porn and cut back masturbation to once every 2 weeks. Meanwhile I'd still avoid sexual intercourse during hookups due to negative reinforcement from the past.

- On New Year's Eve party 2018 I met a wonderful girl from Norway, started seeing each other and a couple of days later I went home with her. I was being avoidant about sex, as always (making excuses that I felt tired, sick etc..) but she insisted enough and I actually went for it. My dick was 100% hard during foreplay and semi-hard when initiating intercourse, but once it was inside her, it became 100% hard again and it felt so unbelievably good that I came after 2 minutes, EVEN during the second round.

Now, in retrospect I can say that PIED was a serious problem for me when I was younger, and it created side effects such as performance anxiety that contunued to persist even though my PIED was being healed. I can't put into words how glad I am to have finally overcome this and I thought the best I could do is share my story with you guys and be 100% honest. Guys, I did it and you can do it too. Quit porn, try to rewire with a real partner, and just go for it. It will happen eventually.

Good story. What was your longest streak on hard mode?

Are you Taurus or Gemini?

I never really went on hard mode, i just removed porn completely and MO'd once every 2 weeks at most, fantasizing about real live girls and past hookups. I found that my libido increased a lot as well as my lust for real girls. I'm Taurus)

So about 6/7 months you?d say it took? Anything else you do that helped with recovery?

Yeah around 7 months, the first 4 were crucial and made a big difference. Helpful tips that worked for me are: I kept track of my progress (for example occurance of MW, MO frequency) on a calendar to reduce the temptation of relapse, i exercised 2-3 times a week (bit of cardio, bit of weights), went out (alone or with friends) socializing especially talking to girls, invested more time in hobbies/interests that i really like, and i talked about my problem to a trusted friend who understood my situation and supported me. Ultimately though what made the difference for me was adopting a new mindset. I didn't consider myself a real man unless i gave up on porn and started having a normal sex life. Sounds harsh, but drastic times called for drastic discipline. I thank myself now for it
