Dreams Complicate My Life

Anyone else have porn dreams during the first few weeks of a reboot? I've been having them repeatedly lately. Always the same deal: I either get the urge to look at porn or look at porn in my dreams and fight with myself to stop from getting off to it. This actually has me mostly pleased. On one hand, it's proof that my brain is desperately responding to my sobriety and the rewiring has begun. On the other hand, it seems as though that quitting porn has become so hard-wired into my subconscious at this point that I fight like hell to resist the stuff even when sleeping.

Yes, definitely.  We may have discussed this in another thread, I'm not sure.

It is definitely a good sign that your brain is acting out and wanting it so much, because that means it is feeling desperate.

I can remember having dreams about watching porn that were so vivid, that after I woke up, I'd think it was a relapse until I had my breakfast and was on my way to the shower before looking around and realizing that I never got out of my bed to the computer during the night, and must've just been a dream.  I'm not sure how often this happened, but at least twice.  I felt pretty good afterward, because it was such a relief that I hadn't relapsed!

Good news: These dreams will fade until they almost disappear once you are further into the reboot. And they will lose their power. During the first 100 days, I had really messed up porn dreams that left me speechless and disgusted. About three weeks ago, I had my last porn dream and it was so weak that I only remembered it because an event during the day made me remember the dream.

Just remember that you are not responsible for having these dreams and for the content.

I had a really unpleasant sexual dream and it brought up some bad memories. Relapsed twice that night. Almost legitimately had a mental breakdown the next morning. Been on edge ever since. I just fixate on these memories and they make anxious.
